Byrne and RR have already spoken. If other players were involved we would probably know by now.

Rich Rod always says to be smart after a win and obviously some of the players did not listen. I think Griffey will take advantage of this opportunity.

No one is indispensable under RichRod. He scuttled a Heisman candidacy because of off-field issues. But at the same time, he does believe in second chances if things warrant it. Grant is going to have a long road ahead and he's going to have to prove that he's paid his dues if he wants to keep playing. He's not done yet but RichRod is going to make him earn his way back.

IMO he should be left in Tucson but hey, at least we'll still have Bug Wri...errr Davonte Neal to fill in.

Seriously though, it's time for Caleb to come out of his disappearing act and for Austin Hill to have a monster game like vs. USC 2012.

I interpret Grant not starting to mean he will miss the first quarter. We need both our big guys as well as our small, quick guys in this game. Grant, Johnson and Neal are all that is left, now that Phillips is injured. Grant is by far the best of the group at this point. My guess is he will still be a big part of the game on Friday.

Go Cats!!

So, stepping away from the Samajie discussion...

Oregon has their tackles back but compared to last time we played them, they will be down grasu and Pharaoh Brown and also sounds like Lowe and Tyner (though they haven't really missed Tyner).

Of course, after we beat them, I'm sure we will find out Mariota was playing with two broken legs.

And on the PAC 12 channel Alioti says that Oregon will game plan and surely score more points then they did the last 2 games.

Not surprising but the way he said it made it sound flukesh on our part

I thought it would be 17. I am not sure at 14 how much action goes on AZ, especially early in the week. Oregon is typically a covering favorite of bettors

Already moved to 13.5

If nothing else, the line should keep the Cats from being overconfident!

We stack up better against Oregon than any team in the Pac, because no one defends their spread attack like Casteel. And no one knows how to attack their defense like RR. That win at Autzen was no fluke. Here's hoping Oregon believes it was.

I'm sure when we win it'll just be another fluke because of whoever is hurt for Oregon.

Hopefully the committee actually pays attention to the game.

I made an idiotic comment last night and did not know the seriousness of his infractions.

Stupid selfish move on SG's part.

Moving on, I wonder if oregon coach will continue the disrespect by continuing to go for It on 4th down this game, since you know, arizona is a fluke team.

If there was ever a game that Oregon wants to win its this one. These guys have been embarrassed by us two games in a row and I know they will try every flee-flicker, red zone scheme and 4th and short play in the book.

I think Mariota will try to exploit our secondary deep all game. He's probably dialed in to that already. ASSU gave them a blue print for success with our well known weak deep coverage skills on full display last game.

We will have to play our best game of the year to win this one.

No one and I mean on one is going to give us an ounce of respect. All of the talking points and center of attention will be on the Ducks. Interestingly that may be a good thing for us. Circle the wagon or us against the world mentality.

Oregon is going to be super motivated; I hope we can match their intensity.

I know Vegas puts lines up for money purposes (getting roughly equal bets on both sides of the line) and not for true "this team will win" picking purposes....but...I wonder if Vegas has ever picked a team as a double digit favorite 3 times in a row (against the same team) and whiffed on them even winning the game?

Cause that's what will have happened if we win vs. Oregon again. 3rd straight victory as double digit dogs to them.\

::::
ok, i'm sure it's happened, too many games picked every year, over the course of years, for it to not have happened at some point...but I wonder how rare it would be/is.

Good reminder of how this team has had to Bear Down to get to the point from SB Nation:
Two weeks ago, Arizona had a two percent chance of winning the South. But the Wildcats pulled off two wins over Utah (win probability two weeks ago: 35 percent) and Arizona State (39 percent), and combined with Stanford's unlikely win over UCLA (23 percent two weeks ago), that did the deed. And now Arizona's one win (over a team it has already beaten!) from the Pac-12 title.

yep. AND, making the championship game before U$C!

sorry to bring up the SG situation, but a couple of quick thoughts:
1. TJ is legit. RR says he's the fastest guy on the team and a player that the staff needs to get the ball to more anyway

2. really proud of the wildcat fans, regardless of RR/GB's decision, for having the ethical fortitude to call for strict & fair sanctions on SG; and not stooping to fsu-level homerdom

Happens all the time with every team.

David Shaw was on PAC-12 networks right before the replay of UA vs ASU last night and they said USC Coach Steve Sarkisian on the graphic below

I'm guessing the only thing that's kept TJ from getting more playing time is just the amount of talent above him and that he's a true freshman. The coaches really like him and he's one of those "one step away from breaking a TD run" kind of guys any time he touches the ball. Next year Hill and Richards are done so that's more touches he'd be getting.

Most of these guys had not played in Pullman or the Alamodome. The underclassmen hadnt played at Rice-Eccles or Autzen. It doesn't give Oregon an advantage having played there already.
