Bought 7 for the family. Kids will see their first game in awhile being home for the holidays and being in a bowl game that is close. This will be fun. Go Cats!!!

Anyone know how we are doing in sales from the University?

I would be able to go on the 1st but I can't on the 31st.

Tailgating is going to be rough (compared to Cardinals games) due to all of the grass areas being off-limits for tailgating. We're looking into options but due to restrictions and other factors our setup will probably be modest.

THX Machina. that would mean about 10K has been sold through the university and I suspect another 5K or more has been bought from third party sources

Has everyone who bought their tickets through UA received theirs yet?

Greg Byrne says Arizona has about 2,500 tickets left to sell for the Fiesta Bowl 8:03 PM - 16 Dec 14
Boise State has sold 9,300 tickets to the Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 31 against Arizona, the school reported Monday.
Read more here: http://www.idahostatesman.com/2014/12/1 ... rylink=cpy

Sales for both schools are pretty equal but with most people buying tickets locally through the Fiesta Bowl, it should still be a 2-1 advantage (its what I did). Prices for both sides of the stadium appear to be equal on Stubhub. I am also curious how much the Troll Effect will play into the game. The ASsu fans pretending to be Boise fans that is.

You have to be an especially motivated troll to spend $75 of your hard-earned cash from your job at McDonalds for a ticket to this game. I can't see more than a handful of people actually wanting to do that.

I haven't received mine yet. Ticket office said that I should receive an email with tracking info when they ship. No email yet either.

In case you had some mixed ideas at first about prices, so did the schools:

Have to admit that I'm having a bit of buyer's remorse right now. When I bought my tickets early last week (Section 447 - $75), tickets closer to midfield were listed in the $150 range (Sections 444-445). Checked the Arizona Athletics.com ticket site this afternoon and tickets in Sections 444 & 445 are now available for $75. Called the ticket office to see if I could swap my tickets for something closer to midfield and got denied because my tickets were shipped today.

Paper said they expect 35k from AZ. Almost everyone I know bought y hrough resale channels and not the UofA. The confusion,of tickets starting at $150 hurt them

If so then the UA gets to eat the cost of those tickets. Potentially upwards of $300,000 probably.

I saw less than 1,000 tickets left in U of A's allotment. Best you can buy through U of A right now is Section 451 Row 16 for $75.

No chance U of A eats $300,000 on this.

I would expect well a good amount over 50% U of A fans 20% BSU, and the remaining corporate people

Ok.......

They have in their newspaper they are struggling to fill their allotment and they will not have the same resources or incentives to buy tickets outside of the allotment like U of A fans.

I will not be surprised to see BSU represent well in the stands. They always have in the past.

Looking like 90% chance of rain that morning w 1/4" precipitation expected. Tailgating is going to be rough.

UAdevil wrote:Any BDW'ers hosting any pre game festivities?
My house is about 8 miles from the stadium (it's all freeway). Anyone willing to arrange a party bus or other transportation to the stadium is welcome to pregame there :D.

I'll probably end up at Westgate, as I'm sure a lot of others will because of the rain. Anything with a roof.

BEAR DOWN!

Been awhile since I've been to the Cardinals Stadium. I can't remember, if you park at Westgate and 'bar' it instead of tailgating.......is it a hellacious walk from there to the stadium? Just trying to determine if I'd want to park in the red lot where my parking pass is, walk to Westgate and then to stadium.............OR, park at Westgate and just walk to stadium and back from there.

Ten minutes at the most to get from the south end of Westgate to the stadium.

Yup Westgate not significantly more of a walk than the red lot IMHO. Every time I've tried the pre-game bar plan though, it's been crazy packed. Best bets are the sushi place and the piano bar (if that's still there) as they are on the upper level away from the crowds- the ones on the main level fill up quick.

I've never been to Westgate before a Cards game, so how early do you think I'd have to get there to get a table (there's only 2 of us) and get lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings, Yardhouse, etc.? I'm planning to get there by 11.

I can't freaking wait for tomorrow! BEAR DOWN!

Just bought my tickets on the Arizona side for the game tomorrow. I've never been to a game at U of P and with the weather being how it's supposed to be I'm wondering if there are bars on the club level (or any other level for that matter) that are good for pregame festivities?
