So Utah got our MLB who has had a bunch of knee injuries. Can't remember his name. Anyone know if he is playing for them and if so, how has he done?

Have to wonder how much of an impact he may have on this game scouting wise, signal call wise or just in general?

As for Chiefs question, here is 3

1) Home field advantage which counts for something
2) Dawkins might have a Washington type game as we change our throws to those he can complete
3) Our defense will get just enough stops to allow our offense to have an advantage

Looks like very minimal playing time, not even sure he got into the first 2 games.

Three ACL tears for Ippolito UA career. Although he's infamously known for the sideline fight between him and teammate Tevin Wood during RR's first yr in NM Bowl. Both were sent locker room during the game and then were sent home with their parents.

Arizona historically has started behind the pack in the Pac-12 race for the Rose Bowl, struggling in a majority of openers since 1995.

Go figure the Wildcats are still in search of that ever elusive Rose Bowl trip.

Utah (3-0) plays at Arizona (2-1) on Friday in the Pac-12 opener for both teams. It is Arizona’s fourth consecutive Pac-12 opener at home under Rich Rodriguez. The last time Arizona started conference play on the road was at rain-soaked Seattle in a 31-13 loss to Washington in 2013.

Since 1995, Arizona is 5-16 in conference openers.

Utah comes to Tucson with a No. 23 ranking.

The Wildcats against ranked opponents in conference openers?

They are, gulp, 0-12, including losses in five out of the last six seasons to No. 9 Washington last year (35-28 in overtime), No. 9 UCLA in 2015 (56-30), at No. 16 Washington in 2013 (31-13), at No. 3 Oregon in 2012 (49-0) and No. 6 Stanford in 2011 (37-10).

Going back to 1992, the Wildcats are a dismal 2-11 at Arizona Stadium in Pac-12 openers. The record should really be 1-12 in that span if not for Anu Solomon’s “Hill Mary” pass to Austin Hill in the 2014 Pac-12 opener against Cal at Arizona Stadium.

Arizona is a basketball school, first and foremost. Nothing will ever change that. It is what it is.

I think it pretty much comes down to 1) Can the passing game be at least moderately respectable and 2) Can the defense limit the big plays. If those 2 things happen, I think we have at least a decent chance. If not, about the same chance as a snowball in hell.

Nice! I'll take a shot.
1.) Run Tilford up the middle and get JJ in fucking space
2.) Dawk shows us all that the Houston game was a fluke
3.) Our D keeps playing with it's hair on fire

Sadly we have to play a game of who exactly knows what here.

Six calls. 6/6 straight up for Utah. 6/6 against the spread for Utah.

So what gives? Feels like someone is going to be really, really, really wrong in this game as far as the spread goes.

https://www.cbssports.com/college-footb ... ch-online/" target="_blank

I have a feeling I know who is going to be really, really, really wrong. But it seems like as soon as I feel that way 50% (or more, honestly) of my bets go sideways.

You have some cajones, Machina. You are wrong more than a broken clock and I don't ever recall you owning the ridiculous shit you have posted here.

Whether it is your sycophantic devotion to RR (who had had 1 really good season in 5 tries (along with 2 awful)... to your never ending condemnation of our fanbase... to your unhealthy disregard for Sean Miller (who has been wildly successful and an exceptional ambassador for our University).

You are a little man who is threatened by winners and relates to mediocrity. Don't go calling out anyone.

I'm not 100% sold and want to see how they look on the field, but I like the idea. In terms of our adventurous helmets, it is way better than copper and ahead of the red chrome. Hopefully the red stands out when they're under the lights.

Is it wrong that I see this game as the probable tipping point of RR's tenure here? A W and things can be ok. A bad L and the gallows start looming.

In his last year, RR might as well skip over all the running backs he forces behind center, and start little Rod the rest of the way.

Rhett gets to realize the dream of playing for his dad, RR maybe leaves the new coach with a QB that can do a QB's job like pass the damn ball!!

RR can retire permanently from coaching, hang around Tucson till his kids graduate and then buy a modest house in WV.
