Every class has turnover. But this class is heading into trouble. Could see 3-4 more decommits. Still will be a decent class. But normal for RR, I'm guessing ranked low to mid 30's. Class still has many RR traditional recruits that hold Non-Power five or lower end power five offers.
Bingo... I never heard the "best class in UA history" quote, but IF he said that then he needs to take a drug test. It was marginally better than the last 2, but not even his best - and he has not exactly lit up the recruiting trail here.

I hope he turns out to be great, but let's try and keep it real.

He is a 2* 300 lb DT whose other offers included Hawaii, UMass, Northern IL, Arkansas Pine-Bluff, & Montana State. He was interested in Utah St but they had not offered. I think we have enough data to judge the effectiveness of the OKG recruiting strategy.

If you would trade a 4* athlete (with a ton of BCS offers including Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, UCLA, Oregon, UW) for that profile - then be my guest... but you really are trying too hard.

We need a lot of help all over the roster (and that includes skill positions)... not warm bodies. We need the best talent we can get - period.

The dude we just lost was a 3* Athlete. Replaced with a large body with questionable offers.

Losing Johnson sucks, but Dixon gaining his 4th star makes that hurt a little less. What else?

Wow, so we lose 2 more JC commits today. In addition to the 2 recent HS decommits? The recruiting turnaround appears to be getting derailed...

I hope whatisee's exuberance over signing Big Sione T is warranted... is he our next 2-star Scoob?

Tony Fields has a few decent offers... glad we kept him on board.

Just trying to be positive instead of being a cunt for the next year. RR isn't going anywhere and the kids read these boards and your attitude, so someone has to be positive.

-4 recruits
+1 recruit since the news

From Ang's thread:

Decommitted (6)
Greg Johnson, Hawkins HS, Los Angeles, CA.
Elijah Watson, DT, Mountain View HS, Lawrenceville, GA.
Darrian McNeal, WR, Armwood HS, Seffner, FL.
Delshawn Philllips, LB, Garden City CC, KS, and Cass Technical HS, Detroit, MI.
Matt Leo, DE, Arizona Western College, Australia.
Bryce Brand, LB, IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL and Clayton Valley HS, Concord, CA.

I hope you weren't expecting 4 & 5 star kids to start looking at us now, because that's just setting yourself up for a world of disappointment.

The way it's supposed to go is you win with the team/recruits you have and then build upon that success by recruiting higher rated kids. RR & Co. flat out failed in that regard. They in no way capitalized off any of their past winning seasons and now that the on field results are going backward there is almost no way to get in on those higher rated kids (unless we go the Ol Miss route).

Lamenting the star rating or offer list of any kid that does commit seems like a waste of time. RR can only sign up the kids who are interested in us. So yeah, we'll be fighting Nevada and San Jose State for 2* kids this year. No way to get around it without blatantly cheating.

Wallace is a kid that sat out his junior year because he transferred from another school. A lot of that has to do with his ranking and I'm sure he will be a 3* by the end of the cycle. Same school as Tony Fields and walk-on chief material Edgar Burrolla. Athletic kid and not terrible offers.

A good coach and recruiter pulls bigger fish. Kind of like when you go fishing you catch bluegills and the pro fisherman pulls 5 pound bass. That analogy applies to RR
