Who is going to win this league?

Everyone thought Oregon was going to dominate over the rest of the league and we proved, that's not going to happen. I would guess they will still lose another game.

Stanford, Arizona, ASU, UCLA, USC all have a shot but my guess is none of these teams takes over and just dominates the rest of the season.

Utah is a darkhorse.

Cal and Washington St. - neither of these 2 are going to win their Division but I have a hunch both of these teams is primed for an upset vs 1 of the upper tier teams.

My gut still tells me that Oregon wins the Pac but I truly have no clue.

Oregon and UCLA, the two preseason favorites, play Saturday in Pasadena and one will have two losses already. Tough to come back from that.

I dont think Oregon wins it but as you say it is totally up in the air. I like the resolve Utah is playing with. Before Saturday night, I didn't think any team would go into the RB and beat UCLA.

Even CU is playing better and will beat someone in Boulder this year. I think Furd still finds a way to win the north and the south cannibalizes itself but AZ wins all the tiebreakers.

Utah has the element of surprise on its side but can't maintain what it did at UCLA through its final six games without at least their starting QB and RB healthy. It will be interesting to see who is left for both teams when they face each other in Salt Lake in November.

Same for Bercovici at ASU. They beat USC simply because they had the ball last. Pressure him consistently, collapse his pocket and Graham's chances to win the South are done.

Very glad we have CU at home this year as they will take someone down in Boulder, as azcat49 pointed out--hopefully UCLA or ASU, as I'd hate to think this title would revert to the Bruins again, with their sieve-like offensive line.

Right now, of our remaining games the most likely loss I have pegged will be at Wazzu. We haven't figured them out yet and Halliday is just too much of a mad bomber. IMHO the Cougars will end up deciding the North between Oregon and Stanford.

Really, it's up to Arizona to take the South or it'll go back to the Bruins again almost by default, as there's just too much parity and nobody else has shown that next-level performance other than the Cats to this point. It would be intriguing to play the Cardinal in the conference championship but we know we can beat the Ducks.

No joke...

I think Arizona enters the championship game against 'Furd undefeated with a ticket to the playoff and the rose bowl on the line.

Our closing schedule is brutal to be sure. One of the most difficult in the nation. Whoever comes out of this South division will be a bad ass team. If we can get by USC the remainder of the schedule is tough, but can be managed.

W -- Oct. 11 USC; A win and we are 6-0/3-0 and in the drivers seat with a bye week to rest before WSU. USC is a must win.

W -- Oct. 25 at Wash. St.; A bye week to rest and scheme for WSU puts us over the top for the win.

? -- Nov. 1 at UCLA; Huge game and a toss-up. Is Hundley healthy?

W -- Nov. 8 Colorado; We're at home and just better than Col.

W -- Nov. 15 Washington; We're at home again and we are just better than UW.

L -- Nov. 22 at Utah; Road game, absolutely brutal game, simply a slugfest. This is probably our oh-shit moment because Utah is really good at home and its the game before ASSU. We come up short.

W -- Nov. 28 Arizona State; We're at home again and RR finally exercises the demons.

In my opinion it all starts with USC. Win and we are sitting pretty with huge momentum. Lose to USC at home then we were not likely ready for showtime and it will reflect in our record.
