Gumby, I like where your head is at! You are obviously already anticipating that we are going to win out and trying to figure out how our strength of schedule is going to rate when we compete with all the other 1 loss teams for a playoff spots. Great attitude and way to look ahead, but let's win the games before you start worrying about how the committee will look at our OOC SOS.

Regardless of how our OOC has done I'm thrilled with the schedule we've had. We got 3 victories and enough of a challenge to help our team grow up quick and be ready to start 2-1 in the conference with a top 10 victory to boot.

Uh, not so much. A weak OOC was great this year to break-in Anu, but next year and beyond we should be ready for a stronger slate of games. If the AD believes Coach Rod will stay here long term than it is time to schedule to compete nationally.

Byrne recently mentioned OOC scheduling, either on Twitter or on the Wednesday email. He said it was tough to line up P5 opponents on OOCs for quite a few reasons but that he was working on it. The weak OOC of the past few years goes back to Stoops and Livengood, so it wasn't like RR was saying "Hey, find me the cupcakiest schedule you can for my first few years, OK?" These games are a ways out but it's a start, and the BYU/Texas Tech/ Mississippi State games are also a start. Hopefully we can find a way to fill more of these.

Yep. Sounds kind of irrelevant now, but time keeps on ticking and one day......God willing we're all alive and kicking.....we'll all be glad that those matchups were setup oh so many years ago back in 2016.

That far out, any one of those games could actually be a conference game. JK, sort of...

If you have a son around 5, he could play against Nebraska.

The Big10 and Big12 cutting down to only 3 OOC games really limited options short term because most schools already had 3 or 4 games booked when the announcements were made.

I've had my eye on the 'Canes who have FCS games that coincide with our FCS games... it would be nice, even if it took a "Neutral site and neutral site" rather than a home and home to make it happen.

The BYU, Houston, and Texas Tech games are good match ups.

Houston especially. They are rising and trying to get invited to the big 12 or Sec.
