As it stands, we can lose against Oregon and still get a selection committee bowl. It will be interesting to see the CFP rankings, but who knows - a win against Oregon and things could get intense!

Behind Mich. St. in both the coaches/espn power ranking polls is just plain stupid, and is why I wonder what will happen in the CFP rankings.

My guess would be the Cats jump Sparty and go to 7th on Tuesday.

Plus they couldn't even make their conference championship game. Reminds me of the year Nebraska did that
and still got selected for the BCS National Championship game which was BS. I think they committee is going
to penalize teams in that situation going forward. Might not be until the final poll though.

yeah, fan polls are usually pretty worthless, and that's a good example.

guess nobody likes our close victories and good victories and no bad losses.

I don't worry too much about being ahead or behind MSU. Not only do they not play this week, but all of this discussion we're having relies on us beating Oregon. No way we won't jump them in that scenario. I think the more relevant discussion is jumping tOSU if they beat Wisconsin. Their top 25 wins would be @MSU, @Minn, and vs Wisconsin this week. Ours would be @UO, @UU, vs ASU,vs UO. Their one loss is a bad one while neither of ours are.
