In all kinds of random blogs and websites I've seen us anywhere from about #13-40 preseason. We should be like #20 though

I get the pessimist view, and I definitely get the optimist view. To me that 13-40 span sounds about right for our ceiling-floor.

Yeah. Anywhere from like 11-3 repeat south champs to like 7-6 or 8-5 in the cactus bowl or Vegas bowl

I'm certainly not anywhere near an expert or even reasonably knowledgeable, but in my biased view, I think we will be better than last year (though we might not get the same breaks), and should be top 15. This could be a very special team. Staying healthy with sustained readiness will certainly be a challenge with this schedule though.
I'm tired of this offseason crap. Let's go!

That range would imply to me a 7 to 10 win season.

Getting pretty tired of the annual preseason overranking of ASU.
14th? Really? Compared to Arizona at 29th? Based on what from last year?

The espn pac 12 blog officially declared the sleeping giant to be awake after the last two years.

I, for one, love the annual Scummie preseason overrating and in-season failure to live up to those expectations. Rank them #1 for all I care. Makes their inevitable 8-5 season all the sweeter.

To be fair, 2014 was the first time in probably the last 7 times that Asu was ranked preseason that they actually were at or above that rank when the season ended.

Probably more than seven...
I remember reading a preseason blurb about ASU last year saying the devils had NEVER been ranked in both the first and last weeks' poll.

According to this site (
http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/sch ... ona-state/ ) ASSu has been ranked (AP) pre and post season 10 times.

That's definitely not true. Usually if they are ranked preseason they finish unranked but it hasn't not happened. For example in the ap poll:
Asu was #20 preseason in 1996 and finished #4

Hmmm. Don't know where I got that from... must have been some qualification I missed.

Well, they've always been ranked on the assmunch scale.
