77 Lene Maiava

Maiava is a 6-5, 301, redshirt Senior offensive lineman from American Samoa. Started twice as a Sophomore (once at guard and once at tackle), but played every guard and tackle spot at one time during the year. Last year he had 5 starts (either at left or right guard), but again was able to play any position required and appeared in all 14 games. This year, Maiava is the heavy favorite to start at right tackle where he was Ebbele's primary back-up last year.
Yes, we have to replace both tackles this year, but Maiava along with Tagaloa gives us 2 big, experienced replacements.
We may even see Maiava next year. As a redshirt Freshman, he played in the first 4 games before injuring his knee and missing the rest of the year. The team will be able to seek a medical redshirt.

77 is also the net rushing yards we had against USC last year our lowest running total all year. The only other time we were held under 100 yards rushing was 80 total yards against Ucla.
