Boettcher is a 6-2, 283, redshirt Freshman offensive lineman from Desert Mountain HS, Scottsdale, AZ. A walk-on who was an all city center and wrestler in high school as well as the team's academic player of the year, Boettcher gives us more depth on the line. He is also working hard in the classroom majoring in Biochemistry.

6.9 was Jerrard Randall's rushing average last year on 15 attempts.

Too bad walk-ons don't count in the team APR, although UA really doesn't need it like they did in the Stoops era.
