Today is an open roster spot, so I will look at one of the new players who Matty D has not yet added to the roster because he is too busy filling up the 2016 class.

Parks is a 5-10, 177, Freshman cornerback from East St John HS, Reserve, LA. He was a PrepStar all-southeast region selection last year and one of the early commitments to the class. Here is Arizona Desert Storm's analysis of Parks from signing day (article includes Hudl video):
When you watch Parks, his speed immediately jumps out. But it's not just his speed, it's his pure athleticism that allows him to bear down on defenders and play the ball extremely well in the air. Parks also shows his incredible open field tackling, hovering the flats and stopping anything in front of him.

Parks certainly has the opportunity to make an impact early in his Arizona career if he makes all the right moves this summer. Going forward, he has the potential to develop into the No. 1 corner for Arizona, similar to the progression of Shaquille Richardson and Jonathan McKnight.
We look healthy enough at corner that Parks will likely redshirt this season. Here is what his lead recruiter had to say about Parks.
“Antonio is as competitive as you can get. He really loves to play the game. He was an early commit to us and we are really excited about him being a part of our program.” – UA Coach Calvin Magee

44.3 is the Arizona record for the highest average gain per reception in a game. Bobby Thompson averaged 44.3 yards a catch on 3 receptions against Colorado St in 1961.

NO. 44
UA shows signs of life under Stoops with rout over No. 7 UCLA

SCORE: Arizona Wildcats 52, UCLA Bruins 14

DATE: Nov. 5, 2005
Again, lots of great 44 trivia from Javier including:
— The best No. 44 is former Arizona running back Hubert Oliver, who rushed for 3,096 yards from 1977-80. Oliver, who played six years in the NFL, was inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in 1985.

Arizona Desert Storm: 44 days, and a 44-yard kick return by Cayleb Jones

But seriously, how does an onside kick result in Arizona's longest kick return of the season?
