Jackson is a 5-10, 184, redshirt Senior safety from San Diego. Jackson was a receiver his first 2 years catching 37 passes and scoring 1 TD (USC 2012 below) and started the first 4 games of 2013 as a slot receiver. Jackson's most productive game was in 2012 when he caught 10 passes in an OT loss to Stanford.
In the spring of 2014, Jackson asked to move to safety because of our depth at receiver and lack of it in the defensive backfield. He played in 7 games last year on special teams and in the secondary making 3 tackles. Jackson will be competing for playing time on special teams and as a reserve safety.
30.1 yards per game rushing is all the Desert Storm defense allowed in 1993 to lead the nation.

Really thought he was going to be a player after that Stanford game.

Surprised there hasn't been more buzz about this guy contributing at one of the corner spots, considering the lack of experienced depth back there.
But maybe Johnny and SirThomas are the Jacksons who will surprise by the rivalry game. Worked for Don B'ans.

Arizona football countdown:
30 days, the same number of touchdowns Anu Solomon had in 2014.
This is the first day I feel like I really got smoked on the important trivia of the day. Rushing yards allowed in 1993 by the Desert Storm defense is good, but Solomon's total TDs responsible for is just more relevant. Well done Arizona Desert Swarm.

It's amazing we only have one receiver. Shows how deep our position is. And how unselfish they are.

Jackson and the other receivers aren't getting enough credit for keeping Arizona in the game this past week. Those guys made some big time plays all afternoon. When Randall started throwing they made some very good catches and that helped him settle in. One of Jackson's was a big key in a late drive.
