Morgan is a 6-1, 229, redshirt Sophomore linebacker from Central Point, OR. Morgan played with the scout team last year and will be battling to see the field this year.
Holmes is a 5-5, 165, Freshman receiver from Newbury Park HS, Pasadena, CA. A running back most of his career he spent his senior year as primarily a receiver. Holmes had 762 receiving yards, 13 receiving TDs and just 189 yards rushing as a senior and was selected to the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl.
Holmes will likely start as a slot receiver, but certainly could add weight and end up as a running back before his Wildcat career is over. His father, Darick Holmes, Sr, played 5 years in the NFL as a running back with the Bills, Packers, and Colts.
“Darick is an explosive athlete that can play multiple positions. He’s got running back skills so he runs well after the catch. He will be an exciting player to watch and to coach.” – UA Coach Tony Dews
24 is the Arizona record for TDs in a season set by Tucson's own Ka'Deem Carey in 2013.
