Solomon is a 6-2, 205, redshirt Sophomore quarterback from Las Vegas, NV. The stats are in his bio. All of them are Arizona Freshman records, several are Arizona all-time records and there is a Freshman CFB record hidden in there also. He led all FBS Freshman in passing yards last year, but most of the nation just remembers Anu for Arizona's final 2 losses. Hard to blame them. Most of the earlier games were on too late or on the P12 Network.

He has been quietly driven in the off season. Anu is bigger, stronger, quicker, in more command of the offense, and a better leader than he was last year. This is his team and all indications are Anu is ready to lead.

I personally think this will be the best Wildcat offense we have ever seen. What do we need to watch for from Anu? Improved completion %, quicker decisions, more throws to the middle of the field and, oh yeah, victories over ucla and Stanford. If all that happens you will know by the 5th game that Anu and the Wildcats are in for something special this year.

Flannigan-Fowles is a 6-2, 182, Freshman free safety from Mountain View HS, Tucson. He last played football as a Junior for Tucson High when he earned All-Southern Arizona first team honors. He lost his Senior year because of issues with his transfer to Mountain View HS. Arizona stayed committed with it's scholarship offer and although he didn't sign a letter of intent on signing day, Flannigan-Fowles did sign a "document of commitment" in April. He was thought to be a grey shirt until late in the summer when Arizona found out he had become academically eligible. Flannigan-Fowles joined the team in the second summer session and than his road became easier.

Despite missing the early summer workouts, Flannigan-Fowles has been one of the Freshman standouts in camp. He is a long, fast athlete who loves to hit and will likely be on the 2 deep at free safety. Extremely impressive for a man who joined the team at the last minute. If you can come to Arizona late and impress the coaches that is a sure sign you were working your ass off before you arrived. Flannigan-Fowles appear to have the tools and the drive to be a future Wildcat defensive standout. Too bad he is only Tucson good.

12.3 was Arizona's average yard per catch last year. That is higher than Matt Scott's year or the Nick Foles' years. If Anu can hit the seam it will likely increase this year.

Actually, Solomon is the first QB in Arizona history to start every game of a 14 game season. He is the first Freshman to start a season at QB as well as the only Freshman QB to start every game in a season.

Here's a guy from Bleacher Report that thinks Anu will have a great year.
Quarterback Anu Solomon had an amazing first year for the Arizona Wildcats. Bleacher Report's college football analyst Michael Felder breaks down how Solomon can continue to be an elite player and avoid a sophomore slump.
