3 Cam Denson

Denson is a 5-11, 168, sophomore cornerback from Tucson. He played in 12 games last year with 2 starts at corner making 21 tackles along with 2 interceptions. Denson was too good to keep off the field last year, but he was also under weight and got pushed around by bigger receivers.
This year Denson is bigger and stronger (regardless of what the official roster says about his weight), but now he is in a battle with Sammy Morrison for one of the starting corner positions. Morrison came out ahead on the first depth chart, but Coach Rod was quick to point out that Denson should have been listed as a co-starter.
Both Denson and Morrison will get a chance to see the field on Thursday and try to earn the coaches' trust and the starting spot. Denson has the best ball skills of all the returning players. Last year he tied Will Parks for the most interceptions of the returning players despite having significantly less playing time. A bigger, stronger, more experienced Denson could lead the team in interceptions - if he can win a starting corner spot.
3 is number of interceptions Jourdon Grandon had last year to lead the team. I'm taking the over that the team leader will have more than 3 interceptions this year.
