Updated to include bio on Joshua Mason who now wears 83.
83 is an open roster spot and I would normally fill it with an incoming receiver or one of the new coaches, but I am convinced that the spot is already filled. During the open practice in March, 83 was worn by a thin, under 6 feet receiver, with long curly hair, good speed, and real good hands. He stood out to me as one of the better receivers during the drill portion, but was not on the online roster or the roster provided at the stadium. Also, 83 did not participate in the scrimmage portion of the practice.
So, since it is my countdown and I can do what I want, I am going to leave 83 open and wait for this mystery receiver with long hair to be added to the roster and given a name. Matty D and his new staff may be more active on the recruiting trail, but they are slacking off on the roster updates. Come on man, there are 83 days until the first game and the roster still doesn't include 2015 updates!
83% was our red zone scoring efficiency last year. On 65 trips to the red zone, Arizona scored 54 times. Including these 2 against Nevada:
No. 83 Touchdown Passes Caught in a Single Game: 3
Cayleb Jones, vs. California, 2014 (of 13 receptions)
Juron Criner, vs. Oregon 2009 (of 5); UCLA 2011 (of 10)
Mike Thomas, at Washington, 2007 (of 10)
Bobby Wade, at California, 2001 (of 6)
Scott Piper vs. Northwestern, 1975 (of 4)
Charlie McKee vs. Wyoming, 1970 (of 3)
Joe Hernandez vs. New Mexico, 1961 (of 4)
Bill Glazier vs. New Mexico, 1949 (of 6)
