Boettcher is a 6'2" redshirt Freshman, offensive lineman from Desert Mountain HS, Scottsdale, AZ. He was an all-city center and wrestler in high school and is majoring in biochemistry. A walk-on who will give us more depth on the O-line.

69.5 yards per game is what Cayleb Jones averaged last year to lead the team in reception yards.

Walk ons again as starters. Glad for the kid getting a scholie, but has any Power 5 team had so many walks ons start over the past 3 years as Arizona?

Lol, that was my number in high school. Only 3 numbers left for OL when I was picking, 69, 71, 72. Only one of them is particularly funny, so I went with that one!

Some kids get over looked, and you can't put a star grade on the desire to play. You could look like the biggest stud on the planet, but you have a Yugo motor in that body. We've had those guys that look the part, and a few guys on the current team resemble this remark. What i find impressive about the kid is that he walked on and is starting over our touted 4* recuits. This kid has what you can't coach. The desire to play

I agree that a walk-on becoming a big part of a program is rare, but there are those times when one becomes a star.

Here’s where we see another walk-on become a solid contributor to the Wildcats program. Going to be tough to see this one go.

Well that should make Eletise happy LOL. 4 star struggled to jump a walk on. Hopefully we can get a 5th year for Freik and bring back some experience on that line

That's why losing Christian hurts the O line for next year. We're already scheduled to lose two starters out of the group, and now that number is 3. Eletise has started seeing playing time this year, so that was going to continue regardless of what Boettcher. Hopefully the transfer can fill one of the Tackle spots on Michael can step up into the G spot.

Need to protect Tate!

Law school. Probably a good choice to focus on classes.
