Kenny is a 6'1", 230, redshirt Junior linebacker from Iowa and Carmel HS, Carmel, IN. Kenny was recruited by both Arizona and Boise State out of high school, but chose Iowa. After redshirting a year and preparing to play linebacker, Kenny was moved to starting fullback when both the team's other fullbacks were injured. In 2014 he played in 11 games for Iowa as a fullback and was used primarily as a blocking back. He had no rushing attempts and 4 pass receptions for 27 yards for the season. He was moved back to linebacker during spring ball 2015, but found himself buried on the depth chart and decided to transfer to Arizona.
Kenny sat out last year and brings a wildcard to the linebacker competition. He now has a redshirt season at Iowa and a transfer season at Arizona practicing as a linebacker, but still hasn't played the position in a D1 game. Kenny could be anything from a starter to a role player on this year's team.
