33 Days Walk-ons
Posted: Mon Aug 01, 2016 6:42 am
33 is an open roster spot and with no other new scholarship players to cover I will look at the walk-ons.
The only list I could find was in a AZ Desert Storm article from February. The article has a great synopsis of each player, plus their hudl video so go to the link for more details. Each player is linked to his MaxPreps page (if available) if you want more information, but the link above is pretty complete.
Tate Shumway, outside linebacker, Desert Ridge HS, Mesa, AZ.
Donald Reiter, long-snapper, Brophy Prep, Phoenix, AZ.
Josh McCauley, center, Red Mountain HS, Mesa, AZ.
Jalen Jenkins, strong safety, Mesa Community College, AZ.
Justus Lee, wide receiver, Liberty Christian HS, Argyle, TX.
Isaac Steele, quarterback/defensive back, Centennial HS, Phoenix, AZ.
Quentin Gomez, running back/safety, Centennial HS, Phoenix, AZ.
If you know of any other walk-ons or if any of these players have decided not to attend Arizona please add it to the thread.
We are Arizona and walk-ons matter. Former walk-ons with a chance to start this year are Gerhard de Beer, Jake Matthews and Parker Zellers plus all of our special team specialists.
33 was Arizona's S&P+ rank for offense last year (we were ranked 109 on defense).
33 days can not pass without remembering Scooby Wright! Best of luck with the Browns!
No. 33
Most Rushing Touchdowns, Career: 48, Ka’Deem Carey, 2011-13
