5 Trey Griffey

Griffey is a 6'3", 209, redshirt Senior receiver from Orlando, FL. He missed the first 6 games last year, but played in the final 7 and led the team in both yards per catch (25.8 yards) and catch rate (78.6%). Griffey had a career high in yards against the scum with 138 yards on just 2 catches with most of those yards in his spectacular TD run at the 1 min mark of the video below.
For his career, Griffey has 56 catches for 859 yards and 4 TDs. Last year was his lowest number of catches, but his highest yards per game and per catch. Seven of his 11 catches went for a 1st down or a TD. For me, the most impressive stat for Griffey last year was that despite playing in only 7 games he led the team with 9 tackles in punt and kickoff coverage. Griffey may be the most famous player on the team, but he also may be the hardest working.
This year Griffey will start as one of the outside receivers and is expected to have a career year. We have targets all across the field, but Griffey has a unique combination of speed, height, reliability, and experience. He had 202 yards in his last 2 games as a Wildcat and I am hoping Griffey continues that productivity for his Senior year.
5 is KaDeem Carey's Wildcat record for rushing TDs in a game set against Colorado in 2012.
