24 Rhedi Short

Short was originally covered on day 46 before getting #24.



Short is a 6-0, 184, safety from Cathedral HS, Los Angeles, CA. He originally committed to ucla, but switched to Arizona last summer. Short helped to lead his team to an undefeated season (losing in the second round of the playoffs) by making 47 tackles (4 for a loss), 2 sacks, 12 pass break-ups, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. He was selected to the 2017 Polynesian Bowl. Short is another DB with good length and has shown good ball skills.



46 is the Arizona record for the most turnovers recovered by the team in a season. The 1954 Wildcats made 20 interceptions, recovered 24 fumbles, and 2 blocked kicks. Last year, the Wildcats had 8 interceptions and 6 fumble recoveries. Just a little short of the record.
