20 D.J. Hinton
Hinton is a 5-7, 150, Freshman receiver from Tucson HS, Tucson. A one time commit to Northern Colorado, Hinton decided to walk-on to Arizona where his dad, David Hinton, played from 2000-2002 as a cornerback. D.J. Hinton had 773 yards rushing and 11 TDs last year along with 8 receptions for 142 yards and 2 more TDs. He added 2 more TDs on an interception return and a kickoff return. Because of his light weight, Hinton is a likely redshirt, but coach has said he is pushing Tyrell Johnson for the fastest player on the team.
20 was the number of passes completed against BYU last year which was the best mark of the year.

Re: 20 D.J. Hinton
He is a friend of my family and played football with a family member. He's the fastest player on the team. He can beat out Tyrell. Awesome kid....glad he is on the team.

Re: 20 D.J. Hinton
Elite speed apparently does not guarantee football success.
Hopefully Hinton can use his better than Tyrell.

Very true. You have to get him the ball out in space. North to south speed is nothing compared to north, south, east, and west speed with quick gear shifts and movements.

Chief, describe J.J. Taylor's straight line speed. We already know about his N, S, E, W speed.chiefzona wrote:Merkin wrote:Elite speed apparently does not guarantee football success.

He's fast running a straight line but that is not his running style until he gets in the clear. He's an ankle breaker and shifty and he has unreal gear shifts and changes....stops, spins, and jumps. He's so low to the ground and the great thing is that he avoids head on hits so he usually just gets glancing hits.

uh Chief, that's not what I asked. Thanks for telling me what I (we) already know.

Well, he's fast. Not the fastest. Fast enough.
