Young is a 5-11, 195, Freshman safety from Halifax HS, San Diego, CA. He was a 3 time team co-captain, 3 time 1st team all-district, 4 time CIF all-academic selection as well as east county POY. Young led his team to a 12-2 record last year. I couldn't find his defensive stats for last year, but playing both ways he did catch 68 passes for over 1000 yards and 10 TDs and also had 2 rushing TDs.
Both Youngs have been getting positive coverage in camp. Scottie seems to be in line to be one of the Freshman destined for playing time this year.
19 sacks in a season is Tedy Bruschi's team record set 1993. As a team we only had 22 sacks last year.

Reads like both were arrested. Don't know about Tucson, but in many communities if a domestic violence call is received, someone has to be arrested.
Young was charged with a misdemeanor, as was the other party involved.

Freshman safety Scottie Young Jr. was arrested by campus police on suspicion of one count of domestic violence assault shortly after midnight Wednesday after a student in the Likins Residence Hall reported that she’d seen another student get “pushed into a wall, spit on and threatened by (Young) according a campus police incident report.

Huh? For slapping him?
This seems much ado about nothing. Just a couple fighting, which happens every day and every place. Police did the right thing in coming out and breaking them up, but separate them, require them to attend counseling, then send them on their way.

False accusations. She's been dismissed from the school. Staff honestly thinks this gets dropped like KaPow Carey.
