Only goal is a W and getting out of the game with less than 3 catastrophic injuries.

Wonder if there will be a line on this game? Last time we played we dropped 77 on them and they had to be embarrassed.

Thinking more like 45-21 this time around

Games when it is FBS vs FBS come out Sunday for the next week.

Games when it is FBS vs FCS come out a day or two before the game.

The one thing Arizona has in spades over a team like NAU is speed. I expect Arizona to spread NAU out and hit them with a lot of big plays from Dawkins, Wilson & Taylor.

Really looking forward to watching these freshman LB's on the field. Wilborn, Schooler, & Fields could and should be a special group. Great game to get their feet wet with

Got to get some targets to Wood and Poindexter! Big targets are needed, particularly in red zone!
Hope the defense with infusion of young talent at lb, safety and Boles added to line, can step it up a bit, as well as Dawkins/Tate!!

Rodriguez has led the Cats to a 17-2 mark
against non-Pac-12 foes, including an 11-0
record at home.

Well, that's what happens when you schedule cupcakes. Besides empty seats in the stands.

Even during the Mike Stoops era it was:
1. Power 5
2. Mid major
3. Cupcake Div IAA

Stoops had a home and home with Iowa, then OK State.

They are also returning their starting quarterback and former FCS National Performer/Freshman of the Year Case Cookus, who was one of the key players injured last season.

Cookus leads college football in career passing efficiency (184.70), as he has posted some gaudy numbers through the air.

In 15 career games, the sophomore has averaged 285.6 passing yards per contest, along with a stellar touchdown-to-interception ratio of 50 to 6.

RichRod didn't have anything to do with the cupcake schedule. That was Livengood and Stoops. UTSA, Nevada, UNLV were all signed up while they were running the show. Byrne/RichRod got 3 with BYU, home and homes with Texas Tech, Mississippi St., Nebraska, San Diego State, Kansas State, Colorado State (always a tough out) and Virginia Tech. (Also got North Dakota State, who keeps getting guarantee games against FBS schools and then walking out of the stadium with a fat check AND a win.) Granted, most of these games are far into the future, but at least they've been taking steps to address the lack of non-conference big names.

The Wildcats were winless in
eight Pac-12 games while posting just a 3-9 overall record.

Nope. The one win was a big one.

Chief was saying the OL is one injury away from being in big trouble.

Still it's not the worse injury report we've had starting a season. Would be great to have Miller playing though

I'd love to be where you are. This scares me to death. If this is truly based on the talent and readiness of the group, yea that's really exciting. Unfortunately it feels a little more like desperation to me. It won't take much to get me on board tho. Just don't get abused by NAU and I'll be in the glass is half full group for at least a few weeks..

You can't be scared if you already have absurdly low expectations for this team...

This is a good point, however losing to NAU will still have me crying myself to sleep in a corner.

Sports Guys from GoAZCats.

Lots of rehashing of stuff we already know. What was knew to me is the coaches told AG that they have the players do their own depth chart and Cruikshank saw himself as a spur safety even before the coaches asked him to move.

You'll be fine. The big question will be how long it will take a NAU defensive player to ask "who the fuck was that little guy" on the long bus ride home....

Get ready!

8 pm games suck so much. I currently don't get the PAC 12 network on my TV and I'm old and go to bed at like 11 on weekends. Probably will be watching some semi legal stream on my phone until the 3rd quarter then going to bed

While unbelievably horribly insanely organized, give me a fucking break on the surprised someone wasn't killed. Everyone was calmly standing in the line that wrapped around the field, and it took about 10 min to make it around after they eliminated all the green ticket people.
