2 Lorenzo Burns

Burns is a 5-10, 173, redshirt Freshman cornerback from Linfield Christian HS, Murrieta, CA. He was a 3 time team captain and Mr Versatility in high school playing quarterback, running back, receiver, cornerback, return man, nickel back, and even holder for PATs. I'm disappointed he didn't learn to punt. That means he has a lot of high school stats which you can look at on his MaxPreps page if you are interested. His dad played for USC, football and baseball, and was an NFL coach for the Redskins, so Burns has seen football at the highest levels and won't be intimidated by the demands of college football.
Burns played in the 2 opening games last year, but suffered an injury and received a medical redshirt. He is now not only fully recovered, but Burns has grabbed the starting boundary corner slot. Young corners will get tested and I am anxious to see how Burns responds. Hell, I'm just anxious to see some Wildcat football!
2 is the most TD passes a single QB threw in a game last year - Khalil Tate against Ucla.
