Johnson is Arizona's new strength and conditioning coach for football. A former offensive lineman at LSU, Johnson was 2nd team All-SEC as a Senior in 2006. He spent 3 seasons playing in the NFL for Arizona, Tampa Bay, and Baltimore. Johnson was Coach Sumlin's strength and conditioning last year with A&M and before that he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the San Francisco 49ers.
Johnson should be busy now overseeing our off season workouts which began 4 June along with continued strength and conditioning. According to the Daily Wildcat a normal week consists of 3 days in the weight room and 2 days of on-field speed, agility, and conditioning drills.
65 is the Arizona record for combined returns in a season set by Jackie Wallace in 1971 with 41 punt returns, 13 kick off returns, and 11 interceptions.
