38 Malik Hausman
Hausman is a 6-0, 174 redshirt Freshman from Bishop Gorman HS, Las Vegas, NV. In 2016 Hausman visited Tucson on an unofficial visit and was hit by a drunk driver tearing both his ACL and LCL. The injuries caused him to miss his Senior season and led to him blue-shirting. His Junior year, Hausman had 42 tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 pass deflections, and a fumble recovery. As a blue-shirt, Hausman joined the team on the second day of camp, could not play last year, and his scholarship counts for this year's class. Also, just to be eligible for a blue-shirt, a player can not have taken an official visit or hosted a coach.
First, here's a video of Hausman and Tony Fields talking about the accident:
And here's a link to Hausman's hudl videos.
This guy had to suffer more than most to get a chance to hit the field as a Wildcat. I'm proud of last year's staff for sticking with him after the accident and rooting for Hausman to get a chance to play.
38th was Arizona's NCAA rank for 3rd down conversions last year (5th in the PAC). We converted 71 of 168 chances.

Re: 38 Malik Hausman
Happy to see we stuck with this kid after his injury. Keeps us in a football powerhouse school, and shows them our commitment to our players.
