Williams is a 6-3, 298, Freshman offensive lineman from Cardinal Gibbons HS, Sunrise, FL. Originally a Louisville commit, Williams is a 2 time all-state selection and helped lead his team to their first 5A Florida State Championship last year. Here is some signing day analysis from Gabe Encinas at AZ Desert Swarm:
I think he has true NFL potential.
I think he can lose some bad weight and add good weight. He plays both guard and tackle but will ultimately be at guard and I think his size and lack of quickness better suit him for that position.
Overall, he’s a big, physical and aggressive and brings some nastiness to the offensive line and you can tell that it’s becoming a theme for the offensive linemen. I think he’s a better at blocking the run than pass. He’ll get a good initial push and finish the block into the ground.
