VegasInsider.com has Arizona as an 8.5-point dog for its trip to USC on Saturday night, the start of a two-game road trip that could make or break its 2019 season.

Once again we will need to count on Tate to make the difference but given his play Saturday it’s impossible to have tremendous confidence. Do we get CU Tate or UDub Tate?

Next two weeks will determine if we're 5-7 or potentially like 8-4 and in a good bowl. Go 0-2 and I doubt we're better than 5-7 again.

Now that the expectations are gone, I would expect Tate being slightly better than average Tate.

Nope. After what we all expected to happen, did happen last week...well I don't really care about the season unless we become bowl eligible I guess.

Meh, I don't even care about being bowl eligible and being in some crappy bowl in front of more empty seats than filled ones. Haven't watched the last 2 bowl games, I was in Tucson visiting family if memory serves.
Just beat ASU. Hopefully Gunnell will be up to speed by then. Two worst v. ASU performances in modern history were upperclassmen Khalil Tate and Matt Scott.

After watching the first half of Saturday's game, I think we can be a very good team. Our guys outplayed Washington during the first half and Washington is a good team. . If our QB shows up and plays to his capability, and the rest of the team plays up to there's, this team can be dangerous.
I think if Tate plays well (a big if but he IS capable of it) we win.

So I understand this from a fan perspective, but when I worked for the team, the mindset of making a bowl (gifts, travel, gear etc) was great for the team and the 15 extra practices make a world of difference.

That is true, and would be great for seniors to have one final bowl game, and for the freshmen to experience one and have the extra practices like you said.
But most the lower tier bowls are money losers for the teams, as they have to buy so many tickets when the accept the bowl bid, which is actually not optional for contracted bowls.
But fortunately the PAC splits bowl profits and losses, so hopefully some the upper tier PAC teams can get into some good bowls and make some money for the money losing bowls.
