Sumlin is here for the next 2 seasons at least. Let's hope they make a good DC hire and try to get this defense to average.

I would take a bottom 100 defense at this point.

Not getting a new HC unless Sumlin quits. We need players and especially on defense. I don’t believe Chuck got involved with recruiting as a Analyst? Maybe he’s the next Coach O in the living room minus the jambalaya bs. No better time than the present to show what you can do on the recruiting trail.

Shit, if Chuck were to flip a 5* lockdown HS corner to Arizona I would slap that interm DC tag right off.

We need talent! Something Casteel & Yates failed to produce on the recruiting front.

Yep.

The remainder of this season isn't gonna tell us much in my opinion, since Cecil is coaching the same players who frankly just don't measure up to the rest of the competition. I guess we'll see how it goes.
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

Truth.

I’m quite sure we had a plethora of former defensive players absolutely disgusted this past weekend. Someone already said it, but we have a true gift in making the opposing QB look like Joe Montana.

I’m quite sure if eligible many were ready to suit up and uphold the greatness that uniform represents. Dad bods, grandfather bods, didn’t matter....Coach Tomey & that uniform deserved better.

Still pissed!

I’m guessing whatever the concern is, it’s not repeatable without tempting a law suit.

Apparently hard drinking is common among UA basketball and football coaches and has been for some time. RichRod used to tie some on with Casteel according to those in the know.

He would get the most out of two and three star recruits but attendance would remain in the shitter. We need someone to take us to the Rose Bowl.

He certainly doesn't need the money after his A&M buyout.

Niumatalolo has as many double digit win seasons in the last ten years as we have in our program history.

We need to hire someone who can succeed. Fan support is in the toilet because we suck. I'm fine with a guy who does more with less because we are less.

I'm all for Firing, beheading, running him out of town on a rail, tarring and feathering him, etc, etc. but where are we going to find the money?

The UA athletic dept. just canned a ton of people because of a huge (Covid caused) budget deficit. Should we disband all non-revenue sports to come up with the money??

Why would we need to break the bank on the next hire? Heck, you could just promote an assistant, or give a HC job to an Alumnus.

What’s the worst that can happen, we lose? May as well lose without paying an arm and a leg!

Sumlin’s buyout needs to be paid and no thanks on just getting a warm body so we can suck from now until forever.

After this I'd say that needs to happen, or the AD needs to be fired for cause.
