That $7.5M (2020)/$5M (2021) fired without cause payoff is looking better to Sumlin all the time.

Yep, that’s right: the Arizona Wildcats are the only school from the five big leagues—ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC—without at least one player committed for the 2021 season.

4-star Tucson offensive lineman Jonah Miller doesn't include Arizona in final 6
Even worse: ASU made the cut

Wonder if we will still blame RR's poor roster for Sumlin... Even his recruiting was better than this shit.

So far Sumlin seems to be the worst recruiter we've had in decades at Arizona. Even Tomey was better and got NFL talent.

From a quick scan of his twitter it looks like our competition was the likes of Houston Baptist, Southern, Army, Texas Southern, Prairie View A&M, North Texas, and Notre Dame . . . . . . . College (of Ohio).

He'll get a last minute filler offer next Feb from a low tier Power 5 and leave.

Very accurate too, saw elsewhere he only had one pick last season.
Of course almost taking a 20 yard sack has to be a little disconcerting as part of his highlights. Hopefully he will learn to get rid of the ball a lot quicker. They don't miss that easy in Div I.

I'm still torn on whether to be excited about QBs with Sumlin. Yes, he developed some good college ones years ago. But more recently, he had both Kyler Murray and Kyle Allen on roster and blew it with both of them

I'd rather build a class this way, by loading up on 3-stars with decent enough offers (Washington St, Colorado, Virginia, etc) rather than aim for the big guns, likely miss, and be left with very little options later. Good on the Staff. Looking forward to more recruiting profiles as they commit.

Agree Catsby. Of course this means we would need coaches who can coach up those players

I think Winger posted something years ago that for a program like ours the important thing is not the few or any 4 stars you get. It's getting kids in the top half of the 3 stars vs. the bottom of the 3 star pool.
