He said this week they all will get an equal third of the reps and that by weeks end they will pair it down. Going to intense this week. Great things is, fans can watch. Can’t wait for Chief to give us his thoughts

Isn’t this where Tatanka/Chief chimes in and says something about shenanigans?

So it's currently a competition between Gunner Cruz, Jordan McCloud and who?

* Tayvian Cunningham consistently gained separation in one-on-one work. Cunningham always has had speed; Fisch said he has done a good job of adding strength in the offseason.
About time the UA had a WR who could create separation. Now if the Cats only had a QB that could get it to him. McCloud apparently has a noodle arm.

Weak arms actually don’t bother me.
Tom Brady has a noodle arm and wee little hands. Hasn’t seemed to affect him.
Meanwhile Brandon Dawkins could throw the ball over the Rincon Mountains.

Anybody not think this defense will be much better? I still think the over 2.5 wins is a lock bet

A different player each day is wearing a gray jersey. Wednesday it was 24 Treshaun Hayward and today it will be 23 Stevie Rocker. At the 5 minute mark in the video Coach Fisch had to explain to the media how a jersey countdown works. How do I feel about Coach Fisch counting down to the games using the players' jerseys?
Unfortunately, Coach Fisch did not know if we had a #22 on the roster or why we don't have a #22. Hopefully, someone on the staff can educate him on Art Luppino before Friday rolls around, because Friday is National Cactus Comet Day.

I'm more negative than most, but I'm not sure it's a lock.
NAU is the only clear win I'd peg right now. I think we'd need to win 2 of the 3 games out of UCLA, Colorado and WSU to get to 3.
Mostly, I think 2.5 is pretty dead on because I think that's the tipping point. We should get to 2. #3 is the one I'm not certain about.

I think SDST is a very winnable gane st home do getting two out of three in the OOC part of the schedule should set up the “lock”. I think we get two wins in conference, maybe three if the ball bounces right for us.
The team isn’t without talent. It’s not upper level talent for sure. Browns defense should keep us in some games and flip field position at times. The only real concern I have is the OLine but it can’t be as bad as it was last year can it?

Welp, you jinxed it. We’re fucked now…
My concern is at QB. Give a kid all the time in the world in the pocket, but if he can’t recognize coverages or can’t put the ball into the right spots, it’s going to be a long year of turnovers and 3-and-outs.

Run the fucking wishbone if these three guys can’t freaking figure it out! We are very deep with backs, some really good talent there….

True considering they are running a more complex offense with two hundred plays on their wristbands.
But I think using the TE a lot like they sound like they will should make it easier to dump the ball off for positive plays

I mean, the defense can't get much worse than it's been the last half dozen years. Nowhere to go but up!

I'm not quite as positive about SDSU. They lost some guys from the #3 D last year, but their defense should still be strong. Combine that with us having a lot of new pieces on O and this being early season and I'm not sure I'm confident. It isn't unwinnable, but I'm not thinking we do.
I share Chi's concern about QB and O line, especially early on in the year. It's a big unsettled area and very key to us being able to score.
The D...well, it will be better because it couldn't be worse. I'm not sure it will be good enough to keep us close while the offense is working things out.
I don't think 2 wins in conference is crazy, and I think the 1-3 range you hint at...well, that's about where I'm at. 1 win would be ok. 2 would be above average. 3 would be really encouraging.
I just don't think we get 2 OOC, so it all rides on conference as to whether we get above 2 wins.

I think we were last place amongst P5 schools in defense for several years. I guess we could always just try for worst in all of college football.

Anything above 2 wins this year is a success. But I think we may surprise and actually win like 4

Can't imagine Sumlin keeping Marcel Yates at the encouragement of Khalil Tate (or so Tate said) was a very good idea, unless of course like suggested, Sumlin was just looking for another fat paycheck. Did Yates ever have a defense that was not ranked in the 100's? I was hoping he would eventually get to the 60's or 70's making 50% percentile but never happened.
