Strong work. Let's keep this thread up. I'm sure there is more than enough daily human devolution to report from that "school".

Dreadful thread........no dessert for anyone who posts unflattering things about ASU here. Jealously will get you nowhere!

Last week, Graham (or maybe it was his OC, Deputy Dog, can't remember) compared one of their RBs to Ray Rice. Then, a feature on Christian Westerman revealed that he's always looked up to Bill Romanowski... noted 'roid head who once broke a teammate's eye socket.
Yep, "character" matters to them!

Wonder if this was the same article where I saw the shot of Coach Todd at practice in a camouflage shirt? What a f'ing numnuts that guy is. My wife is originally from Texas and the fact that Coach Wristbands fits the stereotype of what every white guy looks like, talks like and acts like in Texas......is pretty much the exact reason that I avoid traveling to that state to visit the in laws at all costs.

Doug Haller offers an interesting perspective on the Sun Devils:
This marks the first time since 2008 that the Sun Devils have made the preseason poll.
Certainly, nothing stinks about that except ... This isn't always a good thing for the Sun Devils. The last six times they made the AP preseason poll -- a stretch dating to 1998 -- they didn't finish in the final AP Top 25 poll.

@MarkEnnis: Arizona State changes uniforms every so often to give Todd Graham the sensation of coaching somewhere new.

As would about a dozen other schools, including Tennessee and Oregon. Original? No. But who, outside of Oregon, is really doing anyting original with uniforms anymore?

I'm not a fan of the unis, but the helmet's not bad. The unis are better than Oklahoma St's all gray
And Syracuse's all gray.

We are. I can't think of any other team that conjures up the ghost of Rainbow Brite with gradient colors on the sleeves.

I like asu's new uniforms better than our new ones. I think we have one of the worst looking uniforms. USA Today says asu has the best new uniforms and helmet.

Apart from them adding a seventh school color, I don't mind it. We're both about promoting the "Copper State" which we share. ASU's copper unis look much much better than UAs randomly colored helmet. Of course it should be easier to find a match for copper when your school color is the visible spectrum.

Sorry, but those are fugly. On the other hand, our copper helmets are excellent once per year.

Overrated Teams
1. Arizona St (AP: 19, Phil Steele: Unranked)-The Sun Devils are coming off a Pac-12 South title and just their second 10-win season in the past 17 years. However, coach Todd Graham will have his hands full this year as they return just eight starters and 57 percent of their lettermen (No. 124). The good news is that they return 72 percent of their offensive yards (No. 46), led by quarterback Taylor Kelly (4,243 total yards) and wide receiver Jaelen Strong (1,122 receiving yards). The bad news is they are the least-experienced defense in the country (2 returning starters), with just 30.1 percent of their total tackles back (No. 128) and they lost two of their best incoming JUCO’s in Dalvon Stuckey and Darrius Caldwell. I currently have them an underdog in five games, with two others listed as toss-ups.
7. Stanford (AP: 11, Phil Steele: 20)-Unlike some of the other overrated teams on this list, the Cardinal are not overrated because of this year’s talent because I still think it is top-notch. The problem with this year’s Cardinal team is their schedule, which features arguably the toughest road schedule in the country (at Washington, Notre Dame, Arizona State, Oregon and UCLA). Stanford does welcome back quarterback Kevin Hogan (2,985 total yards) and wide receiver Ty Montgomery (2,208 all-purpose yards), but the offensive line has just 26 career starts (No. 121). The defense has seven starters back, but loses three All-Americans in Shayne Skov, Ed Reynolds and Trent Murphy.

Everyone knows that ugly uniforms cause turnovers, dropped passes, shanked punts, QB sacks, fumbles, ints, safeties, broken tackles, completed passes in the end zone by the opposition, poor blocking, poor clock management, and a host of other things. Those hideous uniforms always cause problems.

It will be interesting watching how cracker recovers from losing Ericksons players. As much as I hate this Used Car Salesman turned coach I have to admit that he has done an excellent job getting the most out of his players......make that Ericksons players. If he can do the same thing this year with his own recruits then I may have to admit that the scum got the better coach.
