No doubt but to many empty trips in the red zone without a TD

We were 5 for 5 in the red zone with 3 td's and 2 fg's. USC was 5 for 5 in the red zone with 5 td's. There's your 8 points.

I'm thinking Manu is going to be a very good LB before his college career is over.

Cowing and Singer have been outrunning DBs all season. Although they certainly got open, they couldn't outrun USC's DBs

That first Singer TD...the one handed scoop and tuck was next level stuff. What year is Singer? Hope he isn't leaving anytime soon. DeLaura and his stiff arm on that run...he was fired up. Love to see that. Can't wait to see what happens next year with the D.

I was a skeptic when Fisch was brought in but I am now officially buying into it all. Sorry it took so long for me to come around.

Singer is a sophomore as is DeLaura. Cowing is a Jr and TMac a freshman. Most doubt Cowing comes back as they think he will enter the draft. If they all come back, on my

De Laura is an academic junior, so can leave to the league if he gets any interest. But his height and decision making will work against him.

Not sure if Cowing (academic senior) was banged up a bit during the USC game, but like someone noted, he couldn't get any separation between himself and the USC DBs.

DeLaura would be incredible if he had a line capable of protecting him at even an average level.

After that incident and a commercial break, they showed them make up on the sidelines.

According to posters on Scheer's tweet, they "dapped" afterwards.

Had to look that up.

/ dæp / PHONETIC RESPELLING. Slang. noun. a stylized gesture of greeting, congratulation, or solidarity in which two people join hands in a nontraditional handshake grip, bump fists, snap fingers, etc., often concluding with a one-armed hug: players giving dap and high-fives to fans after the game.

I was reading one of the Coug boards, and they all seem pretty happy with Cam Ward over JDL, but are still pretty butthurt over JDL quitting on them.

I am interested more why 3 of the 4 picks were due to miscommunication between QB and receiver. Scheer was adamant about one being Cowling's fault. But not all 3 were in Cowling's direction.

Fool me once, , shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.

JDL is such a gifted athlete that it's easy to forget he's still largely a kid. This last week he let his mouth and attitude write checks his ass couldn't cash.

A little more maturity and he'll be that much better of a leader and a QB.

Just an extremely competitive player and a team player.

Such a refreshing change from Tate who decided that Tate should look out for Tate over the team, or Solomon who quit on the team and sulked.

Nothing like a little pine time to set your head straight though. No idea why Fisch didn't put Fifita in, unless he is saving his max 4th game for ASU. Although I doubt we will see him no matter what.

So, what actually happened in the second half of the Sun Bowl? Was he injured, benched, or did he quit on the team?

Since he wouldn't stand or sit with the team, and moved his chair against the wall by the fan seating behind the bench, I would guess he quit on the team.

Even if he was pissed at RichRod for whatever reason, still no reason not to sit with the other players. Maybe he was disappointed his career was over due to concussion protocols, but still...

I think Kaibabkat is asking about last year's Sun Bowl drama involving JDL.

My reading skills left me years ago.

"Knowing Jayden, he's not a quitter," Victor said. "I don't think he would throw in the towel like that. He was banged up all season. The whole month we practiced for Miami, he was still dealing with that knee injury from USC. He had a lot of stuff going on at home, I wouldn't (see) him as a quitter. There's a lot of people talking about him quitting on the team and bringing up his DUI and stuff, but I don't think anybody talks about what he did for the program. He brought the Apple Cup back to Pullman ... I don't know Jayden as a quitter."
