NAU at Arizona

Post by TheCatInTheHat »

NAU has a new coach in Brian Wright, who made the move from Pittsburg State (of Kansas.) The Lumberjacks played everybody and rolled up crazy stats in a season opening win over the Division II Lincoln Oaks. As usual, it’s hard to draw any conclusions about an FCS team, and particularly so with a new coach and after a game like that. But, here are their listed starters from their first game:

OFFENSE:
6 QB TY PENNINGTON 6-2 220 SO
23 RB DARVON HUBBARD 6-0 210 RS-JR
4 WR B.J. FLEMING 6-0 175 RS-SO
8 WR TAY LANIER 6-0 165 RS-JR
11 WR KOLBE KATSIS 6-1 185 RS-JR
12 TE BRYZAL WHITE 6-3 245 SR
76 LT SETH SMITH 6-6 285 RS-SO
73 LG RALPH FRIAS 6-6 340 RS-SR
62 C JONNY BOTTORFF 6-3 295 RS-SR
57 RG CONNOR DEPREZ 6-4 285 RS-JR
72 RT ETHAN KRAMER 6-5 300 RS-JR

DEFENSE:
44 DT FOU HO CHING 6-1 285 JR
50 NT MICAH CARREON 6-1 275 RS-SO
95 DE RICHARD KWETE 6-3 250 RS-JR
46 OLB TOMMY ELLIS 6-2 215 SR
35 ILB BRANDON WONG 6-1 210 JR
1 OLB CHRISTOPHER SMITH 6-2 220 SR
4 CB D.J. VANHOOK 5-10 185 SR
27 S MICHAEL HARKINS 6-0 175 JR
17 S ALEX MCLAUGHLIN 6-2 190 SO
3 S ZACH LEWIS 5-10 185 RS-JR
21 CB MIKALE GREER 6-2 185 RS-JR

KICKING
49 K MARCUS LYE 6-1 185 JR
39 P BEN D’AQUILA 6-2 205 JR

Never heard of the Lincoln Oaklanders. Apparently they are pretty new, and are a mercenary traveling team. Get paid to come in and get beat down. 0-12 last season. No facilities, and aren't part of the NAIA or NCAA.

Does that win even count for bowl eligibility?

Like someone mentioned when I looked them up, their is an empty NFL stadium right there

Wildcats Set to Host Northern Arizona
Game 2 · #20 Arizona (1-0, 0-0 Big 12) vs. Northern Arizona (1-0, 0-0 Big Sky)
09/02/2024
TUCSON, Ariz. — Hot off an explosive performance in their season opener, the Arizona Wildcats (1-0) return to action this weekend for a matchup against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (1-0) on Saturday night at Arizona Stadium.

In addition to Saturday's game being Hispanic Heritage Day, fans are encouraged to WEAR RED for the in-state battle.

Last weekend against New Mexico the Wildcats kicked off the head coach Brent Brennan era with a bang, dropping 60+ points while wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan set a program record with 3-4 receiving yards en route to winning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors.

The Wildcats look to keep their eight-game win streak rolling against the Lumberjacks.

What's the oops? The Cats are on a 8 game win streak. It doesn't say they have an 8 game win streak against NAU.

Ah yes, English is a terrible language and/or my reading comprehension sucks.

eight-game win streak rolling against the Lumberjacks

Which I read as

Great to see Max will be there. I vividly remember him kicking that clutch and very long field goal to beat Notre Dame.

The team flew back to Tucson right after the game and I met Max that night at a party. Real nice and humble guy.

So do I. Was watching at my apartment with my roommate on a shitty little TV.

But I will go full throwback Merk - the Max kick I remember the most is the one he made to beat ASSU at Tempe. After he made it I somehow got on the field to celebrate and was chased around by security. They never caught me because ECC had wheels back then.

Were there any -OUTs before Byrne? Really don't know, since I don't attend home UA football games not being an AZ resident.

Just make it a red out every game. Looks sharp.

Everyone is going to hammer NAU and bring that line down. We aren’t winning by half a hundred. We won’t trot out the full playbook and give KSU a bunch of tape on us so I don’t expect us to put up 60 points.

I used TheCrew on Kodi last week to watch ESPN, I am hoping they will carry it too.

If not, will look at the streaming sites and just cast it to my TV.

https://thetvapp.to/ncaaf
https://the.buffstream.io/tv-streams-live-1
https://the.buffstream.io/cfb-streams/a ... ive-stream
https://crackstreams.io/index-cracked

and so on. Those were from last season, there are probably a lot more now.

Just make sure you have an adguard app on and don't download any apps.

Sportsfire side loaded on a Fire stick.
I tried this once and it buffered a lot. I imagine our games will get more eyeballs this season and may buffer more than when we were in the pac. Any tricks to get it to work flawlessly?

Subscribe to an unverified IPTV service. I don't use one but have heard of Kemo.

I used to use Kodi for movies, but the buffering was too bad. Now I use Bit Torrent to download movies. Have a gigabyte connection, so each one only takes a few minutes.
I've had IPTV for the last 6 years. Best decision I've made + Kodi.

You need a real debrid account with Kodi and you'll get hundreds premium links per movie or episode with no streaming issues.
