This will be our first trip to the Little Apple, as the previous seven games (5-1-1 Arizona) were all played in Tucson. The last time we played was when Tony Mason was our coach in 1978. 17th-ranked KSU took care of UT-Martin in their opener 41-6, then pulled out a tight one at Tulane Saturday 34-27. Despite our lackluster showing vs. NAU, I'd imagine we'll move up one past Kansas to 19 after they lost at Illinois. So, FoX should have a Friday the 13th game with two teams both ranked in the teens. The early line favors KSU by 6.5.

I was told this by a former player who transferred from USC, “ Arizona fans need to expect to win”.

Agreed. I think the underdog role suits this team better.

I think:
Brennan was foxing last week, but KState doesn't care.
the team was suffering from some kind of bug last week, but KState doesn't care.
KState had just as much, if not more, trouble with Tulane than we did with NAU, and KState should care about that because we had so many left on the sidelines.
KState's defence leaves a lot to be desired despite the preseason hype and commentators smoke and mirrors (it let in 20 first half points before growing some balls), and has likely reached its peak for the year.
KState's offense is weak and uninspiring. In its favor, Tulane's defense was even weaker and less inspiring.
Arizona's defence also leaves a lot to be desired so far, but is on the improve and has a higher upside.
Brennan will pull out the stops, the bug will be gone and the whole team will be on the money, Fifita will be protected, and T-Mac will be feeling better and can spend more time on the field.
the Wildcats will win. (Yeahbut. Which ones?)
the winners will be singing "Bear Down Arizona".

Communication is key.
Make plans for you both to enjoy the game at home.
Klieman Press Conference

KSU's coach did the Tulane review/Arizona preview presser.
Mostly about them and how they need to improve, but that they've only completed their second game, so similar circumstances. A lot of their concerns are about their secondary getting burned by not having their eyes in the right place. He said in the second half at Tulane, they went with more pressure to not leave their secondary exposed for as long, and that helped them.
Their local media's reaction to Fox coming to Manhattan for the game is a reminder that it's considered a pretty big contest between Top 20 teams. As fans, it may have snuck up on us a bit. We might have a tendency to think of it as generic non-conference game number three, and maybe be a little indifferent to working up any feelings about KSU, as compared to a USC or Oregon. Certainly there's a lack of familiarity. But, they're pretty excited about showing off their school and tailgating to broadcast Fox, as opposed to ESPN2, FS1, etc. Klieman talked up their environment, and their band playing Wabash Cannonball (which I still don't understand since the train never went through Kansas, but more power to them.)
Klieman's brief comments about Arizona were that we play fast, and he's impressed with our defensive line pressure and stunts, and our experience in the back seven at linebacker and safety. Considering our O-line issues with pass blocking, I'd sure expect them to come at Noah pretty hard until we can prove we can block long enough to beat it.
If she insists on going out, insist on a sports restaurant like BWW.
My wife enjoys the games too as she is a Tucson native, so never an issue for us.

Unfortunately she could care less about football (UTEP graduate). I am a rabid fan who lives in New Mexico where most people don’t know anything about college football. She always gets pissed at me this time of year.

Per Spears in the Star, his status is still "questionable." Apparently, the issue was raised by Arizona's compliance department. With the COVID situation and redshirting, most players of his class year are out of eligibility, but there are some exceptions, as Spears mentioned Miami TE Cam McCormick and Utah QB Cameron Rising for examples. Unknown if there needed to be some NCAA approval that wasn't dealt with, which would be a bad reflection on the cognizant paper-pushers. If so, with the NCAA's normal turtle-like pace and default to "no", this could drag out indefinitely. I hope not, both for him and for the team; he's a fine back.

And if he is determined to be ineligible, does that mean the New Mexico game will be forfeited?
