Going to be some beatdown on national TV. Hopefully OK State will make them work next weekend.

Against the better teams they've played (Baylor, Utah St, Oklahoma St), Utah hasn't put up huge numbers, winning by margins of 11, 17, and 3. We'll see how we do after all the gloom and doom and a bye week. Meanwhile, Utah should be in, or close to, the Top Ten, and probably revenge minded after last year's Arizona 42-18 beatdown at Arizona Stadium. Rising was a game time decision prior to Oklahoma St, but didn't play, so his return will no doubt add quite a bit to their explosiveness.

If Rising plays, Utah 38-Arizona 24
If Rising does not play, Utah 28-Arizona 24
I hope I am wrong.

I must have missed Singer going to Utah.
Arizona could use him now to take the pressure off T-Mac.
Already has 17 receptions in 4 games, after getting 24 in 13 games with SC. 66 catches in 12 games the prior season for Arizona.

So Utah made this week's Top Ten. The ranked Big XII teams (including all with votes):
10. Utah
20. Oklahoma St
22. BYU
23. Kansas St
37. UCF
38. Arizona

Seem to recall it was payback for Whittington running up the score the season before.

No doubt, but Popeye likes to strut around as the ex-linebacker flexing in a too-tight T-shirt (you're 64, dude...the truly attractive girls don't care anymore), and he's a defense guy all the way. So, no question he takes 42 points scored on designated successor Morgan Scalley's (and his) defense personally. And, hey, don't let an opportunity to motivate your MENSA-level football players go to waste. Ugh...I get so tired of this simplistic Head Coach 101 crap. No doubt we'll lose to the toughest team on our schedule on the road. And painful though it may be, we'll probably be embarrassed and won't even cover the spread. But, I'd still love to bitch-slap that hypocrite right in his Dudley Do-Right chin. Hope springs eternal, but in any event, the important thing is improvement and the remaining path after this weekend.

It was more about Utah acting like they could still win the game. Going for a two point conversion after a late 4th quarter touchdown and then trying an onsides kick.

My hope is that they play Rising, who still has an injured throwing hand, and he tosses a couple of picks.
That, and the UA offense opens up. Utah may score 40+ on this D, so Arizona needs to go full out and get 50 points. No more slow developing running plays.

I would say, 4 games in, that I have no clue what Arizona is. Still getting used to the free transfer NIL era, but this team is as schizophrenic as anything I can remember seeing. Alabama v. Georgia aside. Good thing DraftKings doesn’t work in So Cal lol. Big time win for Brennan imo.

I actually felt remarkably calm watching that game and didn't panic during the picks or stalled drives.
The fellas just looked from the beginning how they looked all of last season during that win streak, like they were having fun.
Edit: I take that back, I was worried when Stukes went down but the defense still played really well, and when I thought Noah was about to get Tom Brady'ed.

I'm hopeful that the bye week helped this team gel, and we'll get the type of effort we saw in SLC the rest of the year. A lot of the players are the same, but remember, the coaching staff is not. And the players and coaches just didn't feel like they were always on the same page the first three games. But against Utah, different story.
