All the Coach Prime hype and shiny gold stuff comes to Tucson for Arizona's Homecoming game on Saturday. In non-conference play, Colorado dispatched North Dakota St and Colorado St, but lost at Nebraska. In the Big XII, they beat Baylor in OT, won big at UCF, then lost at home to Kansas St. The biggest issues are the injuries to receiver/defensive back/punt returner Travis Hunter, and receiver/kick returner Jimmy Horn.

Remember seeing a chart a few weeks back on Hunter's chances of injury. Needless to say it was extremely high.

If we can pull out a win for Homecoming I will be extremely happy. But both teams have some injuries so it may come down to the final possession.

If we are in it at the final possession I will consider that a victory.

I picked this as one of our losses at the beginning of the season.
I think Colorado is a bit better team this year and we barely beat them last year. We are not near the team we were last year.
We've seen Brent make adjustments to get us back on track, but our offensive staff is so bad that I don't see us winning and I don't think it will be close.
Of course happy to be wrong.

I think it all depends on what's going on with Hunter and Horn's injuries.

It's not what's on the outside of the helmets...
... it's what's on the inside!!!

Well, if that's the case, that's pretty cool. Let's remember that, during that time frame, undersized Tom Tunnicliffe threw the ball quickly out of the shotgun in Steve Axman's offense a lot of the time to tall and athletic Mark Keel on sideline out patterns. Any similarity to today's personnel is purely coincidental, and past performance is no guarantee of future success.

That’s an old helmet.
The Cats wear Riddell Speed Flex helmets. There too many vents for a logo that size.

Before the season, I was planning to travel some distance to see this game and spend some substantial money in Tucson to do so.
Plans have changed just because, while I by no means would expect a victory in order for me to come, I do hope for a reasonable chance that the team will play with decent competence and execution.
I'm guessing I'm not alone.
For me, I'm hopeful because Brent has made adjustments before for a better performance as he did before the Utah game.
Just saying that teams that compete well do bring more money into the Tucson economy.

You say you were planning to travel some distance to see this game and spend some substantial money in Tucson to do so.
Then you say Plans have changed. After that you say stuff about the teams and by no means expecting a victory
You do not say family issues or something else came up etc
So yeah it seems like you are not coming because of the performance of the team. Is that correct?

Love the helmet. Too bad it was wasted on such a shitty season. Easy money for those of us that took the Colorado moneyline though.

It's not the helmet. We just suck. Saw this coming when we struggled to beat NAU.

I'm curious about the crowd at the stadium.
Was there alot of booing? If so, was it only after the game got out of reach? When Brennan exited the field were people yelling near the tunnel or was the crowd pretty much completely gone by then?

There was booing at the end of the 1st half when they blew 2 turnovers, but not really as they were going into the tunnel. We left after the 3rd Quarter, so I don't know if there was any more after that. I think everyone was pretty apathetic by that point.
