Would be Arizona's best win though

Nevada on the road is a better win that Virginia at home. Being in a Power 5 does not make a team a "power."

Can't wait for these teams to meet on the field and settle this chippy bullshit. Should be fun. Good luck to you fuckers and see you on the other side.

The least you UCLA ass-cracks could do if your going to bring your sorry low rent sack over to our board and clutter it up is show a little respect while your visiting.

We sucked, we stank it up again in a big game.

We have one lose, more will probably come this season. I'm ok with that. Not going to let it ruin my night or weekend.

Better man then I am. Sending my remaining tickets back to GB and telling him I will not be spending my money on such a shitty product. Started in 68 and it ended tonight.

Great run. Appreciate the south title last year. Life complete I guess. Will still buy tickets to support the dept. If you need one, let me know.
By no means is this a drunken rant. UCLA will play in the finsl four and I wish them well. Just we are what we are.

Me either. Pulling for the Vegas bowl, but seriously struggling to see where we will get another 3 wins? I'm still holding out hope...

I generally start a new post with my thoughts, but most people get pissed, so I'll keep them quick and in here

We played sloppy, you guys played worse.

Scooby didn't really do much, but he was probably going to do more than what his replacement would have done

Wilson played extremely well. It highlighted my earlier point about our DT's. I mentioned that UCLA could absorb the loss of Jack moreso than losing Clark. You saw how we just gave up chunks of yardage up the middle.

RichRod is a hot head. On a missed play near the end of the game, down 33, he was screaming at Randall for not making the pass. The bigger question should have been, why was he passing in the first place? IIRC, it was 4th down, but he should have been passing in 1 out of 9 plays. Not about 1 out of 3 or so. Kenny Young never adjusted well.

Refs sucked, oh well.

I also said that playing UCLA was a different sort of caliber of players in the trenches and it showed, especially in the UCLA O vs Arizona D. The OL basically had their way most of the night. Rosen was sacked twice, but really wasn't threatened much. UCLA did a great job of picking up the blitz. The BYU game had a physical element and forced Rosen off his mark. UCLA has done a great job picking up blitzes well.

The game was packed to start, everyone in the seat by kickoff. Well done. Didnt seem to affect Rosen though.

At least the Oregon score won't make too many people care about this game.

Seemed to be a lot of players getting hurt tonight. We lost two more players, including Jack's backup, Jayon Brown.

Why was Scooby in there with 3 minutes left? He was gased in the first quarter. It was a cool tidbit about Jack calling him right after the injury.

Don't worry 49, I dont collect on bets. All in good fun :)

Good luck the rest of the way Bug!

The game was over when we were down 14-7 & had a the 3rd and 1 & decide to attempt the 25 yard pass. Nick at the point was averaging 3 plus yard per touch, but fuck it, let's air it out?

Brilliant!

No issues bug, I will be glad to pay up. Know I owe you twice. UCLA was justvway better, especially on the OLine as you pointed out.

Also Mora has brought a toughness to them and it resonates with there talent. Look we all think he is a dick or an ass, but it works for what you guys have lacked.

Finish this. Get in the FF. Dominate with that line. Really no excuse not too. The road is paved. Good luck

Props to UCLA. They played a hard, generally mistake free game.

The 3 turnovers in the 1st half killed any chance we might have had, although I think we would have still lost even if we had 0 turnovers and Anu hadn't been hurt. RRod didn't lose the game of X's and O's tonight......he lost this game on the recruiting trail over the past 4 years. 5 and 4 Stars >>>>>>>> 2&3 star OKGs. Period.

I had us going 8-4 this year with losses to UCLA/Stanford/USC/ASU. At this point I would have to say that I over estimated asu but under estimated Utah and UW. This team probably finishes somewhere between 6-6 and 8-4. As long as we get to 6 wins and a small bowl game somewhere I'll be happy. Bottom line is we have to recruit better going forward............and IMO, lose the 3-3-5. Its getting old watching Casteels defense play CB's 10-15 yards off the ball with an undersized front 6 that can't control the ends.

You're the epitome of a great fan... And I mean that sincerely, Loyal and passionate, but you call things like they are.

You were more impressed with UCLA than I was. They are better than we are, but I did not think the score represented the disparity between the teams, Our defense sucks, but I thought our O was solid, minus self-inflicted wounds, the injury to Solomon, and the inane play-calling with Randall in the game.

Our DB's absolutely SUCK.. Both in coverage and (attempting to) tackle in space. Our WR's are overrated.. Thy cannot create separation. Our running game looked very good. We are what we are... And I suspected we might not be much. The first 3 games agains our joke schedule were a bit of fool's gold.

But instead of facing reality, let's make fun of UCLA for wearing eye-black like face paint... Especially when we have a bunch of players who do not need a special occasion to do it.

I really like Rich Rod, and what he did last year was terrific... But this program is not ready for prime time. I do take solace in the fact that we may likely be better than ASU.

Could not agree more, that's why I am not upset. We don't recruit talented players in bulk therefore how can any of us expect to be great. We should be good in basketball because we recruit top talent. Until we recruit top talent in football, I will just not expect much from our program. Seems reasonable and simple to me. Great coaching can only do so much. To be great you need great coaching plus great talent. Wooden is the best coach of all time in my opinion and it's not like he was winning with a bunch of OKG's.

Looking at Arizona, and being honest, I think only Scooby would start. Maybe Caleb Jones, but we only throw to Payton with any sort of consistency.

I think that is a stretch.

UCLA has better athletes across the board, undoubtedly. But I wouldn't trade Wilson for Perkins (and I think Perkins is a great back). In all truth, from an "eye test" view, I do not think that UCLA dominated Arizona tonight the way their superior recruiting would have suggested they should .

Sorry... No homer here. But I think UCLA IS the 3rd or 4th best team in the conference.

Have to give UCLA a lot of credit. They owned the line of scrimmage when they had the ball and gave Rosen a ton of time to throw. Give anyone that much time and they'll kill you through the air.

The maddening thing is that Arizona could have easily put themselves into position to win the game. UCLA's first 4 touchdown drives combined for 141 yards. The PF on the first TD forced AZ to kick from the 20 yard line and set up a big kick return for the Bruins. Mistake, short field, touchdown. Then Arizona gets a bad snap to cough it up again. Mistake, very short field, touchdown. Then they allow a big punt return. Mistake, short field, touchdown. Then another unforced fumble. Mistake, short field, touchdown. That's four short fields on four drives. And that wasn't the end of it. Randall throws a pick and kills a promising drive and UCLA drives for a TD off of it. Missed chip shot FG at the end of the half. Missed XP in the next half. Bad snap and a holding penalty turns first and goal at the 4 into third and goal from the 30, turning what should have been an easy TD into a FG. Turnover on downs at the UCLA 12 in the 4th. There's at least 14 points that were left on the field and UCLA was given far too good field position far too many times. UCLA took advantage of their chances.

Welp, time for them to regroup and go on to the next one. We'll see if Solomon is OK to go this week. If he is, I actually feel pretty good about this one.

How can you feel good about us playing Stanford at Stanford after tonight?

I think Stanford is better then UCLA

What a bunch of Chiefs posting on this board. I don't think we'll ever see the likes of DC again. I hope he's ok. :)

Chief

You were 100% right about this team and game and many owe you an apology

I have always thought DC should go to Uasports.net. He would fit in better with those guys. Here people typically take more of an objective view of Arizona football.

Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

I think that is a stretch.

UCLA has better athletes across the board, undoubtedly. But I wouldn't trade Wilson for Perkins (and I think Perkins is a great back). In all truth, from an "eye test" view, I do not think that UCLA dominated Arizona tonight the way their superior recruiting would have suggested they should .

Sorry... No homer here. But I think UCLA IS the 3rd or 4th best team in the conference.
I'm not necessarily speaking to who you would take, but Perkins wouldnt have lost his job to Wilson after last season. We rotate as evident by our backups, so WIlson would be playing over him
