And now the football team loses at home.

Yeah, they really overachieved. If not for our 3 gifted turnovers, they would have struggled to beat a team in their division that finished with 3 conference wins.

In past years they definitely throttled us and brought their A game... not this year.

Holy shit, they blew that game? I went to bed with them up two scores and driving for another and didn't think Cal's defense could keep them in the game.

Guess I should never underestimate the power of Madonna MicWristbands' ability to deliver mediocrity in the face of success.

Same thing here; fell asleep at 31-10 ASU leading. Wish I had stayed up

They sound a whole lot like we did after the Scummie loss, with a couple of exceptions: 1) We didn't start the season with all that National Championship/Speaking Victory bullshit, so we aren't as bitter with how much we were let down, and 2) Since we didn't beat the Scummies our coaches didn't start talking shit about how it was a "successful" season, bringing up the bitter feelings that stemmed from #1.

Watching the game was eye opening. Their secondary was not good and if we had Anu it would have been a very different game after watching Goff pick apart their defense.

I did not realize UW is playing in their 6th straight bowl game... they are much more of a juggernaut than I thought. Under Sark I considered them to be very medicre at best, and not much different since.

One missed facemasked call for Nebraska has kept UCLA in this game

What is it about UCLA defense being a juggernaut in September and absolute panzies in December? Reminds me of 1998.

UCLA is embarrassing the Pac-12. This is a Nebraska team that only won 5 games and lost to freakin' Purdue.

Flip side is they beat Michigan State.

But it is embarrassing. Mike Riley is good in the underdog role. UCLA isn't showing any sort of heart or emotion.

And couldn't stop a mediocre Miami team with a national title berth on the line. Edgerrin James shredded the Bruins for nearly 300 yards rushing

Yup. What a completely average RB.

But comparing a team that was one bad call from playing for the title to this team is about as good as calling this years Arizona's D similar to Desert Swarm

Bad call? You mean the fumble with 3:30 left? Yes, it was a fumble.

With a trip to the National Championship on the line, perhaps UCLA should've been more concerned with beating Miami and playing a little defense than trying to make a political statement http://www.ocregister.com/articles/ucla ... oledo.html" target="_blank

I guess I expected more from a program that routinely gets the best recruits in California and routinely underperforms. Maybe Nebraska is simply the best 5-win team in the nation!
