Serious question... Is Tate tweeting stuff out, then deleting?
BTW: Tweets I saw Tate send out then delete were:
"I've talked to my parents"
"U"
"S"
I think twitter could be the worst thing to ever happen to teenagers/college students. Allowing them to post their immediate thoughts for the world to see is like pouring a tank of gasoline on a fire.
I had a U of A intern this summer and I made him make his twitter private, it was just dumb the stuff he posted and didn't realize that the entire planet can read or see it
Feels like these aren't real Tweets from him. Almost like a friend stole his phone and wants him to go to SC. If he was really flipping, he'd flip. His background is still UA and no one seems to think he's flipping.
I really doubt he flips as USC will never let him play QB from what I have been told no matter what Helton is selling him. If it is his friend who stole his phone just further proof that Twitter is awful for kids their age as just messing with his friend is causing all sorts of big drama
Honestly people under 21 should be banned from posting on twitter

Nothing to do with that. Modster has the tools to beat Tate, Dawkins, or Solomon. All about RR's scheme and his advice.
It may not be him personally but we all know that it's usually not just the kid making these decisions.
There's a professional involved in this one. He is being advised. The Zone Read Option and Read Option offense is getting hit hard critique-wise. It usually doesn't get you in the NFL.....it makes you more prone to injuries and ruins some very necessary traits that a QB needs. Modster is being regarded as more of a pocket passer by his advisors. The problem with RRs system is as a QB you have to waste time reading the ends while the play develops quickly....then the play is usually overdeveloped by the time you make your decision. Receivers and QBs get ganked like that. It's frustrating.

Makes a lot a sense. A pocket passer shouldn't sign-up for this offense.

Didn't realize Casteel did any recruiting. Thought he was "exempt"
Doucet was one of the few guys who was excited about the 3 3 5. Im confident that when we get our new DC he will feel more comfortable, and even if he doesn't he is not a nearly the loss that Modster was.
I think JUCO guys are great if you get them in the spring or they redshirt a year. Over the years I have seen few JUCO guys make an impact when they arrive in the summer and immediately have to play. Gurrola was an exception but if you ask people who knows college football well, getting the spring practice for a JUCO is huge. I do not think this is a major loss but unlike most of the JUCO recruits under Rich Rod, this guy actually had good stats at his JC.
I would say this just shows how much of a shock the firing was, none of the current players has any idea and I doubt Casteel is actively recruiting guys last week if he thought he was going to get canned.

I wonder what Casteel told Doucet that excited him about the 3 3 5? Certainly not how awesome it must be to spend half of every defensive snap chasing the back of a WR or RB's jersey? That's pretty much the result of ever using a 3 3 5.

He made 2 star Scooby into a national defensive player of the year and into the NFL! That's what I would be saying.

More to the point, with Casteel gone, can we please run a defense that most every recruit can get excited about? It's gotta be a pain to find these "few guys who was excited about the 3 3 5."

Could someone explain to me why Rich Rod is asking healthy players to grey shirt? First Watson and now Riley, we are well under our allotted 25 scholarships at the moment (I think we currently sit at 16). Is there something I am missing?

I think the deal was he felt confident in getting some better guys to sign on last minute.

Another very impressive offer list... Would be an excellent addition.
Currently committed to WVU.
WVU offered one of our committed kids, so we offered one of theirs.

I don't understand what you are saying here? Are you implying you think Gibson will be the new DC? I need to know what kerosene I need for my couch if that happens... but I would be stunned.
PS - I am completely underwhelmed by the one JC kid we offered... the others have offer lists that would suggest a lot of smart coaches think they are really good.
Bummer... Kid had a pretty good offer list. We don't seem to be moving in the right direction... and it's not confined to the defensive side of the ball.
I was disappointed that we did not have more scholies available late into the recruiting period the last couple years. Be careful what you wish for... our play this season did no position is to make a push with more highly rated guys, so I am not very optimistic.
Hopefully there are some pleasant surprises coming our way...
Hopefully Richrod can get a DC that can Flip or bring some recruits with him. When is this big coaches meeting in San Antonio? Maybe we can figure who the new DC is by who will be there?
Expect Sean Riley to decommit. He's been RT'ing bloggers, services that said he wanted to get schools to take more interest in him since it became public about grayshirting couple weeks ago.
