Riley is no loss. JJ Taylor is better and I think Halimon is very good too. Plus, watch Williams in the IE.

I know over the weekend everyone's mind was on defensive coordinators. There were a lot of recruits in town over the weekend and I know the University isn't allowed to talk about them much but has anyone heard how any of the visits went? Any positive news on recruits at all? We clamor for information here, even if its wrong.

I'll come up with a list. Damian Alloway might be one.

Donte knows him well. He would fit perfect in RR's offense. Big numbers.

Exactly and as you know, so is Alloway. I think Donte isn't ready to quit on 2016 yet. Wait for 2017 though. Guarantee its RR's best class at Arizona. Easy. I wouldn't be surprised if it was top 30.

UCLA was able to flip a Ground Zero kid from SJSU earlier, Safety Leni Toiloa.

That was a while ago, Sept?

What was the selling point for UCLA on Leni? He never seemed like a big target for the Pac 12 schools. Nevertheless, I like his size as a Safety. Big enough to move to LB if things work out physically.

I hope all our defensive players will bear a grudge, Mr. Modster.

I am still bummed we lost him. This one hurt, regardless of where he ended up.

Hopefully Tate can develop into a legit passing threat at the P12 level.

It's weird. First Modster and now Burton. Both kids Arizona beat us out for initially. Now for Eleitise! ;)

The incredible shrinking recruiting class. When will the bleeding stop. Looks like some aren't buying that RichRod is here for the long haul.

I've heard this opinion before. About 1000 times over the last month.

While it sucks to lose recruits, this is a time of a complete reset on defense. A staff change meant we were probably going to lose a few guys. Yates and Williams have an opportunity to go after some guys now. There are some shades of the 2012 class here, when RichRod had to put a class together on the fly. The difference (how big of a difference remains to be seen) is that Yates and Williams already know the area and know who they would want to chase, and would have a shot at some higher caliber guys. The next two weeks are gonna be a lot of fun to watch.

So we hear it's hard to recruit D lineman to the 3-3-5, and the day we switch to a 4 man front our best D line recruit decommits. WTF?

Wow... We now have 13 commits and 8 de-commits.

Hopefully the new staff members will help us finish strong and add some much needed talent to the roster... Especially on D.

Sure was. I guess he and his family just loved the 3-3-5 and/or Kirlav that much.

Speaking of motors.....we just hired a couple of guys with very high octane motors that absolutely love to recruit SoCal. I expect our 2017 class to be filled with guys with great motors and that will give us all (Cats) something to believe in.

I will have to educate myself as to which bruin boards I should visit when we make the mighty Bruins a special little project of ours........

Enjoy your poaching.

Cheers

Ok...let's snap the line. Our recruiting class is currently ranked #54 Nationally and #11 in the P12 on this day, January 19th 2016.

Let's see what we can do by NLI Signing day. And then let's see what we can do in 2017 with our new coaches.

Shouldn't even call them "commits" until they sign the NLI.

Since this class is only 13 so far, I imagine RichRod will get as many walk ons as he can, and then see if they can earn a scholie if the full 25 isn't used.

Are you saying we will never compete. Or just in the next month? Because if it's the first, then you're insane.
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.

i'll just go with fuck asu.
