Re: Ryan Anderson
2nd year in a row that the most important player on our team was a traditional transfer.
Miller is a witch AND a warlock. I will never look back on either TJ or RA as a gun for hire. They are Cats through and through.

Re: Ryan Anderson
Ryan Anderson had his problems earlier in the season. I didn't get lift and was stripped of the ball many times. Either it was rust or, more likely, he was hampered by an injury. Now he seems to be at full strength. The Cats have one of the best front courts in the nation. Best out west for sure. Anderson, Zeus, Ristic, and Tolly. Although Tolly is 7 feet tall he plays more like a SF.

I don't get the earlier problems take, cith. Anderson has consistently been our best player statistically.Catintheheat wrote:Ryan Anderson had his problems earlier in the season. Re: Ryan Anderson
He's had one bad game (@ USC). Otherwise he's been incredible.
Of the 12 coaches, Rush picked the one whose fans have the deepest passion, the longest memories, the greatest lung capacity and … did I mention deep passion?

Good point. And neither elite out of high school? Don't know about RA.Harvey Specter wrote:2nd year in a row that the most important player on our team was a traditional transfer.

Re: Ryan Anderson
Ryan Anderson was California Mr. Basketball coming out of high school - third one we have had in the last three years along with Aaron Gordon and Stanley Johnson.

Re: Ryan Anderson
Unranked, only Wazzu and Colorado offered him out of the PAC.
Visited Cal, no offer.

Re: Ryan Anderson
That ranking says a whole lot more about those doing the evaluating than it does about Ryan. How did those same people rank Frank Kaminsky?ASUHATER! wrote:Was the #82 player in the 2011 class

He was a beast this week...exact opposite of the player I saw in LA.

Re: Ryan Anderson
That's insane. I wonder if his FG% is better than his FT% over that stretch.97cats wrote:53-71 in his last eight games
Re: Ryan Anderson
amazing. his fg% went down during this last trip, too. someone mentioned in one of the livegame threads that it was in the high 80s coming into the wazzu game.Beachcat97 wrote:That's insane. I wonder if his FG% is better than his FT% over that stretch.97cats wrote:53-71 in his last eight games
speaking of CA mr. basketball, it's too bad we've don't have cal (instead of 'furd) scheduled for sr. day. the fans could send RA off in style and ivan rabb would see what he could have "been a part of"... you know, instead of "being the start of" cuonzo's NIT postseason.

46-60, 76.6 (unofficial, meaning I counted fast)Beachcat97 wrote:That's insane. I wonder if his FG% is better than his FT% over that stretch.97cats wrote:53-71 in his last eight games
53-71, 74.6
Right where I want to be.
Re: Ryan Anderson
so what you are telling me is that he has 3 more bade baskets in 53 less attempts than #YorkCity?97cats wrote:53-71 in his last eight games

Nice! Glad to see he is getting a pro career.
Re: Ryan Anderson
Same team that Kyle Fogg played for a couple of seasons ago. Good for him.
