That possession defined this Arizona team's ceiling.

Oregon is tired and we can't take advantage.

York 3-15.
Both playing in Turkey or Israel next year.

shoulda fouled em instead of letting them get a shot
It's long past time to bring this back to the court, let's do it with a small update:

wasn't sarcastic. under a minute left, you dont let them burn clock when you're down more than one possession. it's just dumb.catgrad97 wrote:Sarcastic or not, you're absolutely right.PieceOfMeat wrote:shoulda fouled em instead of letting them get a shot

I was telling my son the same thing, foul right away, don't let them burn off 20 seconds.PieceOfMeat wrote:shoulda fouled em instead of letting them get a shot
Same with this offensive possession, way to burn off 20 seconds with no good shot.

You joking with me w Anderson taking a three?
Re: Pac-12 Tournament Game 2, vs. Oregon (2015-2016)
Team didn't even press after PJC'S made FT. Little things like that add up to a big-game loss.PieceOfMeat wrote:wasn't sarcastic. under a minute left, you dont let them burn clock when you're down more than one possession. it's just dumb.catgrad97 wrote:Sarcastic or not, you're absolutely right.PieceOfMeat wrote:shoulda fouled em instead of letting them get a shot
Burned another 20 seconds on that possession with no points.

This is taking way too long.

Re: Pac-12 Tournament Game 2, vs. Oregon (2015-2016)
that's a coaching brain fart right there with the no press and allowing them to burn clock on our defensive endcatgrad97 wrote:Team didn't even press after PJC'S made FT. That lapse at the end of the 1st half coming back to haunt us.

In the grand scheme of things, this just means more rest before the games that actually matter.
Re: Pac-12 Tournament Game 2, vs. Oregon (2015-2016)
Dont agree. Not when Triers fouled out and Gabe cant hit water if he fell out of a boat. Get a stop there and you dont have to play for desperation 3s.PieceOfMeat wrote:shoulda fouled em instead of letting them get a shot
Re: Pac-12 Tournament Game 2, vs. Oregon (2015-2016)
lol and Tolly hits a 3.

Re: Pac-12 Tournament Game 2, vs. Oregon (2015-2016)
It also shows we really can't win big games. I don;t have much confidence. We will likely win in the first round, but depending on matchups sweet 16 is the ceiling for this team and Id be surprised at that even.etank34 wrote:In the grand scheme of things, this just means more rest before the games that actually matter.
You just can't have games where Anderson and York are this bad. How is Anderson even the same player I've seen for some of this season? Whats wrong with him?

Re: Pac-12 Tournament Game 2, vs. Oregon (2015-2016)
get a stop, and you're still down 2 possesions, with not enough time on the clock for you to get 2 possessions.rgdeuce wrote:Dont agree. so you're still scrambling, but with far less time.

Team breakdown in the final 1:04 that everyone on the bench has to reflect on.

WTF we fouled them a million times. Why didn't they call it?

So many missed opportunities, jesus christ. Just lack of focus and effort even with being outmatched athletically. Such a winnable game.
Re: Pac-12 Tournament Game 2, vs. Oregon (2015-2016)
Really don't see why Arizona didn't foul on the inbounds right away.

What can Miller do to get Ryan Anderson to put a little effort into a game?

There was 48 seconds left when that shot was made. Plenty of time. Get two or three quick, then press and go for steal if not foul. Still plenty of timePieceOfMeat wrote:get a stop, and you're still down 2 possesions, with not enough time on the clock for you to get 2 possessions.rgdeuce wrote:Dont agree.
