My thoughts exactly. Cal has a tougher draw.NYCat wrote:Maimi & Nova, both very beatable. Elite Eight is possible honestly we got a very favorable draw.
I wouldn't like our chances for a deep run if we were a 4 or 5, Duke, Kentucky Maryland etc would be tough.
Re: Official Selection Sunday Thread
Since we play the winner of a play in game does that mean we will play Froday/Sunday? Or does it not matter?

The RPI really hurt the Cats.

Hate the 6 seed and having to fly across country for the first two rounds but I doubt we could have received better match ups for us
Waiting at the Rose Bowl patiently for the cats to arrive

Re: Official Selection Sunday Thread
Duke a 4 seed yet Arizona a 6 seed? At least they aren't playing in N.C. like most other tournaments.
Re: Official Selection Sunday Thread
Yay! The Beavers made it!

I guess the committee doesn't use Sagarin or BPI. We were much higher in both of them.Irish27 wrote:The RPI really hurt the Cats.
They look at margin of victory/loss, not just absolute wins.

Re: Official Selection Sunday Thread
This is just a bunch of crap. Good ol Duke getting the duke treatment. I feel like blaming the pac 12 network for part of this crap?

SOS and RPI must be important this year.UAEebs86 wrote:Beavs a 7 and we are a 6? WTF?

Re: Official Selection Sunday Thread
Miami and Wichita States guard play will give us fits. Not as optimistic on those draws than most of u
Re: Official Selection Sunday Thread
We aren't too bad against teams with good guards. I was more afraid of drawing a big athletic team like Oregon.rgdeuce wrote:Miami and Wichita States guard play will give us fits. Not as optimistic on those draws than most of u

Re: Official Selection Sunday Thread
Larry Scott must have been on the selection committee
Re: Official Selection Sunday Thread
If the committee looked at our margin of losses, no way are they not a 4. I just find it ridiculous that given how well respected the Pac-12 obviously is as a whole (given how many teams made it and with Oregon being a 1 seed) how little they thought of the Cats. I guess the killer was the OOC SOS.UAEebs86 wrote:I guess the committee doesn't use Sagarin or BPI. We were much higher in both of them.Irish27 wrote:The RPI really hurt the Cats.

Re: Official Selection Sunday Thread
CBS is really dragging the selection show out this year, probably for advertising revenue. Some people can forget about having plans for the afternoon.
