Is there a more insane June stat than this: The Padres are hitting .146 this month!

Padres fired Josh Byrnes today which was very warranted based on the roster and contracts given out. The trades that he has been involved in have not been bad but the FA signings and contract extension have killed the Padres.

Will be interesting to see who comes in next. There has actually been some mentioning of Towers coming back. I have no comment on this!!

Also, the Padres won their second game this season in which they collected only one hit. Go Padres!!

When Commissioner Bud Selig visited Petco Park on Tuesday to witness the dedication of the Selig Hall of Fame Plaza, it didn't take long for San Diego mayor Kevin Faulconer to playfully bring up the possibility of his city hosting an All-Star Game in the near future.
