Re: RIP Dennis Green
Great eye for talent. Cards don't get to the SB without that Larry/Dansby/Dockett draft by Denny. RIP coach
Re: RIP Dennis Green
Underrated coach at Stanford and for the Vikings as a defensive coordinator too. RIP.

Re: RIP Dennis Green
While they didn't win with him as head coach, I always felt he was responsible for changing the culture.
Yes, by drafting the talent, but also with expectations.
His rant meant so much not because it was another loss. Cardinals always had those. It meant so much because Green fully expected the win. He expected the Cardinals with a rookie QB to beat the Bears, the best team in the NFC, on Monday Night Football.
He expected it.
Nobody ever expected anything from the Cardinals until Green.
So while he never could right the ship as the coach of decision, his decisions as coach righted so many wrongs for the floundering franchise. Helped set the table for competitiveness and expected success.

Re: RIP Dennis Green
I had no idea he was only the 2nd African American HC in Div I history, besides being the first in the PAC, and 2nd in the NFL.
