Are u being serious? He has 12 points on 8 fuckin shots, his makes and misses have all been on shots my mom could hit, hes 4-7 from the line, at least three times he has spun into double teams and only got the ball out by the grace of god, and he has been passive and horrible defensively.84Cat wrote:rgdeuce wrote:Im done with Ristic

Re: Game 8, vs Gonzaga @ Los Angeles (2016-2017)
pathetic we have never even led in this game and been diwn 8-15 ppints the whole game. we were only 5 point underdogs
pregame miller described gonzaga like they were the 95 Bulls, even better than Butler and like our team of 5*\4* guys is just horrible. I guess he was right. smh

Refs could have been better, better fts, better offensive movement, one more guard, maybe double K more, but the fight and effort was there there whole game!

I think with PJC and Trier we win this game. Team showed a lot of fight, but just not enough bodies.

Really needed a 3 point shooter out there.
Along with anyone who can hit a free throw.

Herein lies the same problem as the last guy. 1) Kobi is a freshman and Dusan is a junior 2) Kobi worked 100x harder on defense than Dusan 3) Nobody was hitting from outside tonightghostwhitehorse wrote:rgdeuce wrote:Are u being serious? Wow, Only 1 three today and all the missed ft's. No moral victories and we will learn a lot from this game. Love the fight also.

Re: Game 8, vs Gonzaga @ Los Angeles (2016-2017)
We could easily have been run out of the gym after this start.
The team is beat up, missing key components that will be back, and to be fair, flawed (we are susceptible to zones because we streak shoot and we allow too much dribble penetration). But after getting a bomb dropped on us early (5-7 from 3, Zags on fire), we brought the fight back. Ultimately, missing too many FT during a key stretch where we got consecutive stops and converted into opportunities may have undone our first and strongest response to the opening deficit. With so much change to available players and new faces, we have early lapses if the lineup isn't just right...we have seen it a couple of times this year, where we get bombed early then find the right rhythm.
This was the first game that Lauri looked like a freshman. He was not able to generate offense and had that stretch where he got stuffed like 26 times in 2 possessions. But you know what I liked there? It may seem small, but after a sequence where he got blocked and the ball was loose and a foul was called, there was a little extracurricular, and Lauri threw his arm up at the Zag player with a bit of attitude. He didn't let the defender get all the extra contact. He looked pissed. Like someone who was getting his ass kicked and was mad about it. Good.
We are hurt, thin, and missing players. Horrible time for this game, but it was on the schedule. Move on, learn, hope to get pieces back, and play with being a clear underdog in the PAC...

Re: Game 8, vs Gonzaga @ Los Angeles (2016-2017)
I think we should practice trying to run offense against a zone defense. Teams might play it a little bit against us this year.
Go Cats!!

Re: Game 8, vs Gonzaga @ Los Angeles (2016-2017)
Shooting not good. FT's, 3's, not enough fire power getting to the hoop.
Sure could have used AT tonight.
Zags played well inside and out, but Cats never quit.
