Re: Game 23, at Oregon State (2016-2017)
Just an awful half of basketball. If we lose this we should drop 20 spots in the rankings
i was going to put the ua/asu records here...but i forgot what they were.
i'll just go with fuck asu.

29-27 ntOSU at the half
Re: Game 23, at Oregon State (2016-2017)
Nothing like bounding the air out of the ball too by OSU.
Re: Game 23, at Oregon State (2016-2017)
Ristic played like sh#t, we let you many of there bugs near the rim, we couldn't stop their penetration. Just a terrible half. Kind of how we play up there

The Washington schools, and this game and somehow this team has gotten worse since Trier's return. Obviously excluding UCLA. Teams should just zone defense this team 100% of the time and make this team shoot it from outside.

Their dribble penetration is what frustrated me. Damn lazy.azcat49 wrote:Rustic played like sh#t, we let you many of there bugs near the rim, we couldn't stop their penetration. Just a terrible half. Kind of how we play up there
All of our bigs did not impact the postively whatsoever.

Re: Game 23, at Oregon State (2016-2017)
It's weird having coaches at bottom of screen and watching the backs of the coaches heads
Re: Game 23, at Oregon State (2016-2017)
Tinkle knows the same recipe every other coach knows in how to beat us. Millers zone-phobia means we're uncomfortable playing AGAINST one. all you need is some cold shooting to go with it an your 300+RPI crap 4-win team can hang with a team full of 5/4 stars .
look ahead factor too. well heat up in the second halfbased on sheer talent - I expect us to take this one

The rest of the Pac12 has already figured that out with the exception of Alford, who is too stupid to know otherwise.
It will be fascinating to see if Alford still sticks to man defense for UCLA's Mckale visit

Ball needs to stop dying in Trier hand. We move it and we get open shots like Kobi just knocked down

Re: Game 23, at Oregon State (2016-2017)
All starts with Kadeem Allen pushing the ball. That's how UA got back into the lead. Don't let OSU setup in the zone defense where UA has no answers.
Re: Game 23, at Oregon State (2016-2017)
That was a terrible shot by Zo. Sorry he is just forcing things. He needs to not press and settle into the flow

Cats need to attack constantly. Settling into a half court offense against a zone will not work for Arizona.Frybry02 wrote:I love Rawle attacking the glass

On TV they just said Trier could've been a first round pick last year but chose to come back.
Is that true? Does anyone remember? Was he a clear first round pick?

By far best game for Parker since the injury. Really nice to see (esp. on the road where he hasn't always shone.)

Maybe early 2nd round this year, unfortunately for him. Kobi at best, in the spot Trier was last year.Merkin wrote:No, mid 2nd round.SCCats wrote:On TV they just said Trier could've been a first round pick last year but chose to come back.

Re: Game 23, at Oregon State (2016-2017)
Agree, which is why they both need to return next year Triers PED issues have set him back a year and Kobi disappears when he turns sideways (he needs some serious weight room time)NYCat wrote:Maybe early 2nd round this year, unfortunately for him. Nice couple of minutes for Pinder who'd been shaky for a while. This second half of pounding on the Beavers should be a good slump-buster going into Eugene.

Looked like a 2-3 zone there by UA at the end. I bet RiseAndFire got a woody.

Yep. Need everything we can get. Including Gonzaga, UCLA or anyone else this is probably our biggest challenge of the season until we get to a sweet 16 or elite 8 game.Longhorned wrote:At Oregon? Man I'm really bummed wife scheduled a play date with our best friends and their daughter of similar age on sat.
Eugene is only 7hrs away. And it's a 1pm game. I could be back by midnight.
