Ball to the NBA draft. Whoever get him wins the next 27 Championships, or so I hear.

Well duh. He's already better than Steph and never loses to anybody twice.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
The only thing I'm optimistic in, is that he no longer has a certain player to protect when they dont play defense. I dont advocate keeping a coach just for a recruiting class, but it might have kept it intact.
C - Welsh/Ike
PF - GG/Jalen Hill/Riley
SF - Wilkes/Chris Smith
SG - Price Ali/Gelo
PG - Holiday/Hands
I would be nice to add an senior transfer guard. Doesnt need to be a starter, just someone looking for some playing time in a rotation at a high major program. BRO thinks we also lead for Chase Jeter, which doesn't seem like a good fit with our roster makeup

So much for Indiana having 7 million dollars to offer a coach.

Indiana board is saying that Ed schilling will join Archie Miller at IU.
I'd imagine Neal will rejoin Alford if true

Ucla lands David singleton. It's nice to land a local kid who isn't a Compton Magic or has a last name of Ball

What happened with O'Bannon Jr.? He's a lock for UCLA, right?
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
He's a lock to ucla like you were a lock to stop posting here.
Your also an "Arizona fan" with a poor grasp on your team.
He's also been discussed on this site as someone Arizona was looking at, but you've demonstrated you would rather just troll. Doesn't bother me either way, you piss off the posters here fine enough that you don't mind being a coward

It's beautiful that UCLA is in business with this family. Let's see how many Pac titles the partnership produces.

For any occasion? That hat is more funeral than wedding, but I'm wondering if it can substitute for a yarmulke at this bris I'm supposed to attend...

Hey Bug, do you hate the unbalanced scheduling as much as I do? Can't believe we don't play at Pauley this year.....I don't see why they can't fix this in hoops....IMHO, 'P12 Season Champion' is always going to have an asterisk next to it until this gets fixed.

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Seriously? How can you be indifferent to one of the greatest hoops (and greatest West Coast) rivalries out there? Or are you still pissed off that I'm not a Big Baller Brand fan? Hope not Dude.MrBug708 wrote:I'm indifferent to it
A Home and Home game for UA & UCLA should be mandatory every year IMO. This unbalanced sked is ridiculously stupid and unfair to both programs....let alone a revenue loss...then again it's not like UCLA attndance is all that impressive compared to program quality unless we are in town.
Anyways Peace Bug, I love the fact that you are a very active, respectful guest here from our biggest rival.....and yes, HE DID TOUCH THE BALL!!!!!!

Oh wait
4.75 = UCLA's average conference finish under Alford.

It's not really betting when you don't bother adhering to the terms of the bet. It's mostly just being a pain in the ass and lying to the other party.
But sure, you don't "bet" anymore

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Hey Bug,
1. Congrats on Welsh and Holiday returning. Where do you think that places UCLA now in ranking the P12 next season? Your expectations for next season (Season, Tourney, & NCAAs)?
2. As our biggest rival, I want to find a good UCLA Board. The free Scout Board is lame and infected by Jessie....and BruinZone isn't iPad friendly...have to manually open each comment vs an entire thread at one time. Any recommendations please?
Thanks in advance!

3rd or 4th. Arizona and USC will be better and Oregon will probably be better.
I only post on BRO premium so im not sure if there are good free boards to post on

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Are people actually disregarding UCLA's team next year? It's loaded. USC is next in line.

Not me, just wasn't sure what an appropriate expectation was at this point....starting to see the 'way too early' stuff which is.....way too early to mean much. A fan like Bug would have a better feel for the team in what I was looking for.enfuego wrote:Are people actually disregarding UCLA's team next year? It's loaded. USC is next in line.
PS. edit: I still think Alford is not that great a coach though...

Best College Bball Program in California is......SDSU!
http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket ... very-state
Lol, ranking the best college hoops program in each state and......
California: San Diego State Aztecs
It's in San Diego. And Steve Fisher's former program filled Viejas Arena with the wildest fans on the West Coast to support this rags-to-riches program. He didn't make UCLA money ($926,000 per year), but he also avoided controversial banners calling for his firing, lukewarm attendance and conversations with LaVar Ball.

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
Their '18 class is going to be indistinguishable from classes at CSUN and Fresno State. Their general lack of appeal has finally caught up with them. The Balls are local, so of course they were going to an LA school. I'd give Alford another 2 years, tops. Then they can hire another middleweight who'll never do as well as Howland.
Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
It's going to be a bunch of "sleepers". Apparently Alford really took it upon him to only recruit Under Armor kids with no prior relationship and basically struck out on them. When he tried to switch back, because he is incapable of keeping them warm while he was chasing national kids, they moved on. He actually thought that Under Armor was going to deliver kids to him without much effort.Chicat wrote:I have heard literally nothing about bRuin recruiting so I have no idea if you're being facetious.MrBug708 wrote:Recruiting is in a pretty bad shape right now

Re: UCLA Basketball in trouble!
I mean, UCLA was leading for Jordon Brown but then decided to get involved with Marvin Bagley, and lost. Now Jordon Brown is looking at ULL (Dad alma mater), St. Johns (Bay Area connection), and Cal. Yes, he fell a bit in the rankings, but UCLA is trying to convince him to visit. Can't get a PG to come play after Hands, though Hands might be a 1 and done. Seems like they might luck into a backup PG who developed from...St. Francis? (Scout is down at the moment) but UCLA could also be realistically looking at 6 guys for this class and have one commit so far.Chicat wrote:I'm no expert, but that sounds like bad strategy.MrBug708 wrote:It's going to be a bunch of "sleepers".
